Turned feet show influence from earlier styles. Panelled sides and an overhanging, unmolded top complete the dresser. Piece dates from the early 1800's. This wonderful piece combines elements of both Hepplewhite and Sheraton design. Overall. The chest is in very good condition. There is some damage to the finish on the top of the dresser as well as some breakage to the inlay on both sides of the bottom stripe. Otherwise there is only light wear consistent with the piece's age. The chest stands 40.5" tall and measures 41" wide and 19.5" deep. Antique East Lake Dresser walnut with tilting mirror 3 drawers
Here is an antique East Lake-style walnut top dresser with tilting mirror and 3 drawers from the late 1800s. Dark refinished walnut solid wood. Mirror has beveled edges. Drawer sides are dovetailed to faces and backs. Six drawer pulls all the same. Locks for each drawer but no key. Cabinet measures 42 inches long. 19 inches deep and 30-1/2 inches tall. Mirror adds 46 inches for overall height of 76-1/2 inches. Total weight of cabinet and mirror is 120 lbs. Mirror is removable from dresser. Condition: Dresser is in very good condition. Wood joints are tight. There is no damage except for a small wood repair about ½ inch diameter that is very dark in the mirror frame top left. There are also six ¾ inch circular dark spots in the walnut top where there were foam rubber spacers supporting a protective glass top. RARE ANTIQUE 1800'S WOOD DRESSER / CHEST TOP MIRROR STAND WITH 3 DRAWERS
Offered for sale is this rare 1800's Dresser/ Chest top mirror stand. It just does not get any better than this. This piece has 3 drawers. A mirror that swivels on the 2 upright arms and the entire piece is made of dovetailed oak which has a rich patina. I am not sure you can see it in the pictures but the middle drawer and mirror have a thin light maple inlay around the perimeter. This piece is real craftmanship at it's finest. It has an awesome design with the middle drawer offset from the 2 side ones and the mirror support arms divided and elegantly curved. The whole thing sets on small bun feet. It measures about 27 1/2" tall by 19" wide by 10" deep. I wish I was a better photographer because I do not think these photos do it justice.
