Period brass tear drop pulls and pin& cove(knapp joint) ends on the drawers. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The front of the chest has beautiful incised carvings on the drawers and wood escutcheons. This chest is good quality, solid, sturdy and would make a great addition to any Victorian Decor. Nut missing for finial on left top drawer pull. The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era. Antique 19th Century Primitive Pine Small Dresser
I have Primitive Pine Small Dresser with very fine and thin dovetail construction of the drawers. The styling of the drawers is classic for such early American Antiques such as this. I bought this piece over 30 years ago from an antique dealer who dated it from the late 1800’s. Dresser is in good condition with desirable weathering. With knotty pine. It measures approx. 32 ½"h x 33”w x 16"deep and stands nicely on bun feet. It does have some staining on the top There are brass lock and keyholes on all the drawers. One drawer is missing the brass lock and one drawer is missing brass keyhole. Please see photos) The key is not included but all of the drawers are currently unlocked and slide smoothly. Antique Empire Dresser, mahogany, mirror veneer, 19th century, good condition
An Empire Bureau. Or chest of drawers made of mahogany in the early half of the 19th century. This is a grand piece of furniture that would look great in any large space-hallway, large master bedroom, dining room. We had it in our hallway in a 1803 house in upstate New York. There are four large drawers and three small drawers at the top. The largest drawer is directly below the three small top drawers, consistent with the style. Drawer fronts are a mirror veneer, rest of the wood is solid. The drawer pulls are brass. This is a solid, well-built dresser. It is heavy. It stands about 52 inches high, is about 47 inches wide and about 21 inches deep. The drawers are about 16 inches deep. The finish is in relatively good condition; there are scrapes, scuffs, nicks and scratches but it would not necessarily need to be refinished. There is a crack ... morein the wood on one of the sides(visible in photo) The drawer slides could use some repair work, but the drawers function. I believe that the dresser is from the early half of the 19th century because the nails used on the back boards are type I cut(photographed) The back boards are soft wood with a rich brown patina on the back, the part exposed to air. This beautiful Victorian vanity was designed with many details that capture your eyes. The overall condition is great considering its age- most probably Victorian 1800s(the piece's age is our opinion based on comparisons we've done on the internet) The pictures show the minor chip and the place where a missing dowel bar might have been(it can easily be replaced) The wood is beautiful and the piece's craftsmanship is excellent. It was well taken care of. The piece has three original mirrors- the dominant large center mirror that tilts. And the smaller mirrors on each side which are underneath the small upper drawers. Exceptionally precise craftsmanship Item# 1402BOM09PP This is one of the most carefully crafted reproductions we've worked with in some time- built with exacting precision. The piece has enough age to truly be somewhat tricky to gauge, particularly as the craftsman used hand tools for every aspect of the piece and employed period hardware and nails. Probably crafted at some point in the second half of the nineteenth century, the proportions and sense of form are very fine. The two board cherry top is well formed with molding of the solid, the front two corners inverted with the rasp file marks still evident in the grooves, affixed to the case ... morewith period hand filed steel screws through the blades above the top drawer on the front and back. The drawer blades slide into the case horizontally on half-notched dovetails. The lower drawers divided with vertical blades with equally tidy dovetails. The drawer slide over original runners affixed inside of the case with two rose head iron nails each- the middle runners are half-shoulder tenoned into the front and back of the case. Each drawer is meticulously crafted with neat and even dovetails on the front and back, the bottom board sliding into grooves on either side of the case over the drawers runners- the backs of the drawers show deep unfinished straight saw marks from when the boards were hewn from the trunk. The half-shell carved lower middle drawer is crisp and precise- each flute of the shell is perfectly formed, deep and robust with dark oxidization and old wax tucked inside of the grooves and edges. The case is held together with tenon-mortise construction. Each joined with square wooden pegs in the front and back corners of the case. Antique 19th Century Child's Children's or Large Doll Chest of Drawers w/ Mirror
Great little child's primitive chest of drawers or vanity. Looks to be all original and has wheels at the base. There is writing on the back of chest and one of the words I can make out is'Buffalo. 3 wide drawers and 2 short ones at the top. There is a mirror which has primitive carving around it. Pulls look to be original. Could be used for a large doll. Condition: The bottom drawer does not open-it feels sealed shut. I tried opening it by taking out the drawer out above it and pushing from behind(because I didn't want to brake pulls) But it would not budge. Mirror is original to piece and has darkened over the years. There are splits in the bottom of inside of 2 drawers. With it's flaws. It is still a wonderful little piece. Antique 19th century mahogany veneer chest of drawers. There are four drawers with turned wooden knobs and applied decoration in the center of each. There is also fifth hidden drawer at the very bottom. Decorative cut outs at the edge of each foot. There is a split in the veneer on the right side(see photo) Some minor veneer loss but is in overall good condition. Measures 39 3/8" tall. 42" wide and 17 3/4" deep. Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. Antique 1800s Dresser 19th Century Chest of Drawers Walnut Wood FREE SHIPPING
19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of walnut wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: The dresser was constructed with square-head nails. Which were used from the late 1700's to the late 1800's. It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 16" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smallest drawer has 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. The drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at ... morea slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. The dresser features turned-wood pulls. Which we believe to be original. It also has paneled sides, which was a feature in many early Philidelphia chests of drawers. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There is a significant crack in the drawer second from the top. It is still structurally sound. All of the drawers have locks, but we do not have the matching key. This piece has cracks, wear, chips, discoloration and repairs that are consistant with a piece of this age. The"flaws" only contribute to the primateive nature of this chest of drawers. They quietly tell the stories of its life. The dresser measures 45 7/8" tall by 42 5/8" wide by 20" deep. The drawer faces are all 36" wide. The height of the drawer faces from top to bottom are: 1st- 9 3/4" 2nd- 5 3/4" 3rd- 6 3/4"

Here is a really nice early 19th century chest of drawers. This item is overall in good shape and I'm not sure but looks like original finish. Missing one of the drawer pulls and top of dresser has a split between the seam of wood. Right side of dresser has same type of split between two boards. Dresser exhibits old scratches and mars associated with antique furniture. Finish on the dressers top also has some issues with staining. Wear and discoloration.
