The bottom corner of mirror frame has some cracking of the wood that doesn't show unless you get down on the floor and look up. The mirror appears to be the original glass with deterioration from behind which is typical of old mirrors. Could be easily replaced as back panel slides out easily. for auction is a wonderful federal heavily carved mahogany vanity built circa 1850. this is a great piece has wonderful claw feet with winged extensions all the way around. Antique Federal Inlaid Dressing/Shaving Stand With Mirror & Three Drawers
Antique Federal dressing/shaving mirror. It stands 30" tall. 22" across, and 10" wide. The shield shaped mirror alone is 23" x 14 1/2" It has line inlay, three feathers on each corner, and a conch shell in the center. There are three drawers. Two faux ivory discs, one on each side of the mirror. There is an old repair to a piece of inlay by the keyhole. The left side with the three feathers inlay has some damage. See pictures. CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING AMERICAN FEDERAL WALNUT CHEST OF DRAWERS Probably Chester County or Lancaster County. Pennsylvania c. 1805-20 Four graduated drawers flanked by chamfered columns over splayed French feet Item# 1301PYP21PZ While the Hepplewhite form employing splayed french feet in case pieces is well developed. Even common, this chest exudes a certain strength that is uncommon in Federal period works of the Hepplewhite style. The solid walnut and solid poplar construction gives it inordinate weight, but the intense lift of the feet, raising the apron sharply in the corners, eliminates the heaviness of the look. The projecting top is crafted of two boards, the last 3/4" along the front actually a continuation of the front of the chest up through ... morethe top, a somewhat unusual and perhaps unique construction method. Surrounding this is a dropped and applied molding over four graduated drawers. These with molded lips of the solid, each framed with hand dovetailed poplar boards with a deeply chamfered poplar bottom sliding into rabbets in the frame and tacked at the back with square nails. The dovetailing method is somewhat original, using very large dovetails at the front, smaller dovetails at the back, the lowest back dovetail squared on it's lower edge to receive the drawer bottom in the rabbet cut. Flanking these drawers are chamfered columns on either side. Both sides of the case are single solid planks of walnut. Incredibly large boards with wonderful grain appearance. Five vertical poplar boards line the back of the case, these entirely undisturbed and nailed in neat rows, the boards on the far left and right sides continuing all the way to the ground. As a result of this construction method, the feet are in simply outstanding stable condition, despite the incredible weight being supported. The drawer fronts are uniform flame mahogany veneer. The top is of two solid boards, the posts solid, the sides of veneer. It measures 40" tall by 41" wide by 18" deep at center. Very good plus condition: original finish, a few minor old veneer patches on skirt and some larger on lower sides. Old brasses and knobs are old replacements to originals. Antique Empire / Federal Walnut Dresser w/ Tiger Maple Inlay - Chest of Drawers
Selling the antique 4-Drawer Walnut Empire/ Federal Dresser with Tiger Maple Inlay& Walnut veneer front c. mid 1800s. All drawers are dove tailed and have glass knobs(except the blanket drawer which has grooves on the bottom where you pull it open) The dresser measures approx 45" high x 42" wide x 22" deep. A few small pieces of veneer are missing and one small area of veneer is buckled. The front right foot has a cosmetic crack. Overall. A very nice looking antique piece of furniture.

Antique 19th Century Southern Federal Graduated 4 Drawer Chest Dresser
Here is a really nice early 19th century chest of drawers. This item is overall in good shape and I'm not sure but looks like original finish. Missing one of the drawer pulls and top of dresser has a split between the seam of wood. Right side of dresser has same type of split between two boards. Dresser exhibits old scratches and mars associated with antique furniture. Finish on the dressers top also has some issues with staining. Wear and discoloration. Top 3 drawers have old lock mechanisms and bottom drawer does not. Measures 33 1/4 inches tall x 20 1/4 inches deep x 39 inches wide. Please examine all pictures and ask questions before bidding.
