It is a ... moregorgeous chest dating from the 1890s to 1900s in the original dark oak stain finish that has aged to a beautiful patina over the last 125 years. It has two drawers on top that are dove tail and four large deep drawers below. The only thing wrong with this dresser is that when it came into the shop the two handles on the bottom were missing and we put on reproduction hardware that is similar, but do not match. The dresser is completely tiger sawn oak with solid oak posts going down into a cabriole leg, shapely bottom skirt, multiple molded shapely top and the carved backsplash makes the whole dresser. The overall finish is nice original. It does not have a key.

This is a high-quality chest on chest in the William and Mary style. I am not sure who made this, but the secondary wood is all tiger sawn oak which is a sign of high quality. It has the William and Mary style typical Jacobean style looking base joined together with the appropriate looking cross stretchers. It has three drawers along the base of the cabinet and the top has three large drawers and two small drawers. The drawers are dainty picture frame molded and dove tail. The locks are all there, but we do not have a key.

This is another item I am listing for a neighbor/friend. His parents purchased this at an auction about 40 yrs ago and at that time it was said to be about 100 yrs old. He does not have any documentation to prove this although. He moved into a place a few yrs ago that had a leak in the roof which did some damage he did however totally restore it and resealed it. Some of these marks were probably caused by woodworm but they are long gone from the furniture. We often see these marks in antiques and they lend a look that cannot be duplicated. One of the more unique features of this piece is the brushing slide at the top. It was originally used to lay clothes out on while brushing the lint off them. This slide is covered in green felt. Also unique to this chest are the brass drop pulls. They have a very unusual shape and a ring pull. They appear to be original to the chest. Overall the condition of this dresser is very good. The felt is quite old and shows plenty of wear. We have already mentioned that the wood has sustained minor marks dings. And wood worm marks over the years. These are part of the antique dresser with slide’s charm and do not affect the integrity of the structure of the chest. These marks are found all over the piece. The top was made of two boards of oak and over the years they have shrunk ever so slightly so there is a slight gap at the ends. No key remains for the drawers. The
