The attention to detail given to the design of this Chest is splendid! The fancy and very ornate removable top gallery is graced with scalloped moulding. Large globe finials, carved rosette roundels and additional incised carvings. The corners of the gallery are adorned with turned finials. Antique burled birdseye walnut dresser. It has a white demilune beveled marble top and large center mirror. On either side of the mirror there are two curved cabinets with a shelf in each. Picture 10 shows a small piece of veneer at the top left that has come unglued and a couple marks. There are three graduated drawers. On the bottom of each side of the drawers there are two curved cabinets with a shelf in each. The four cabinet curved doors are finished on the inside. The drawers have the original carved wood pulls. It stands 79" high. 48" wide, and 25" deep. The marble has no cracks. The dresser is in fine condition. Beautiful Handpainted Circa 1895 Cottage Tall Dresser Is Unique
Here is a beautiful and unusual handpainted cottage tall chest on castors. This is circa 1895. I love the black background with pink flowers like lilacs and roses on each drawer. The top mount, side posts and bottom crest. It has green trim borders along with gold borders as trim too. There are two smaller drawers over four deeper ones. It measures 62" high to the top of the two knobs. 43 1/4" wide and 22" deep. It is partially wrapped in shrink wrap since it was stored that way. I pulled it down for pictures but it keeps it protected and easier to move while in storage. It does have scratches and nicks from being over 100 years old as shown in the pictures. One leg was broken in the past but was professionally repaired and is hard to see. It was that way when I bought it years ago, I have moved twice since then and never had ... morea problem but do want to mention it. Up for sale is this great Antique marble top dresser it stands over 7 feet tall with the mirror connected to it. It is about 43 inches wide and about 20 inches deep. It has a stunning mirror all complete and not broken. Its flaws are a crack in the marble top but was fixed at some point in itslife so it is one solid piece of marble just re glued back together. The knobs are not original Although I do have one original so you can match them up if you search for them. Also one of the candle stands has a black cup type ring on it. The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. It has a large beveled mirror that tilts for your convenience and it has three top surfaces that have very nice finish and even though they may show some age appropriate signs of wear they are in good condition considering their age, circa 1897! This vanity offers five smooth operating drawers that are well built with dovetail joinery and they have traditional raised beveled facings with very attractive brass handles and ornate hardware. This piece may have some age appropriate wear and minor wood separations that aren’t distracting at all, otherwise it is overall in very good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy. It is a very unique piece of furniture that will compliment many style of furniture at home. This antique mahogany tall chest of drawers has six graduated drawers just waiting to be filled. The term graduated refers to the fact the drawers get deeper as you move down the chest. This stunning piece was made in England. We estimate it was built sometime around the year 1890. It has a very Chippendale look and feel to it. Due primarily ... moreto the wonderful brass pulls on the drawers. All of the drawers were crafted with hand cut dovetails and they still open and close easily on their wooden rails. The mahogany wood has a wonderful grain and color that is sure to go with almost any bedroom suite. At the bottom, large and strong bracket feet provide lift and support to the entire chest of drawers. Each drawer of the chest is fashioned with a lock. Unfortunately, no key remains. There is a black mark on the third drawer down and a few small dings here and there. The right side has a square of different colored finish in the back near the top and a repair at the back of the top moulding. Otherwise, this antique mahogany tall chest of drawers is in very good condition and ready to go right into your home and be used. The insides of the drawers are clean. The best part about this piece is that it is has not been refinished or altered since it was manufactured. The photo speaks for itself. This piece is massize measuring approximately 94" tall and 53.5" wide. Good luck finding another of this quality and size. Aside from a few minor flaws to the top and dulling of the finish, I can't fault this piece. Considering the age, I would give this a 8 or 9 out of 10.
