The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of hand ... morerubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years.The photos show casters in the legs, they will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. Late 1800's Curly Maple Woman's Victorian Dresser with Oval Beveled Mirrors
This beautiful dresser is in servicable condition. Original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and small imperfections on the top surface. I bought this 35 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. But the lettering has disappeared over time. Fabulous early 19th century antique American cherry and tiger maple dresser with original Sandwich glass knobs. Dresser measures 39 1/2" across. 19 1/2" deep, and 45" tall. Drawers are constructed with fine dovetails. They all retain their original locks, but I don't have the key. There is writing inside the top of the dresser which I believe details the origin of the dresser. I can make out something that looks like"day before Christmas" and numbers, but I can't read most of it. A photo of the writing is shown in the next to the last photo above. Antique Bird eye maple dresser and original mirror
Used Bird's Eye Maple Dresser. This piece came from my grandmothers house. She was born in 1900. I don't know where she got this piece from. I used it and my son used it as a dresser. I was told it is the original mirror- it is detachable. The mirror is in excellent shape- it was in storage. The mirror easily attaches/unattached with two pieces of wood. The dresser is about 49 inches tall. The mirror about 21 inches- total height about 70 inches tall. It is 18 wide and about 30.5 inches across the front. Each drawer has a key hole. All the pulls and key holes are original. The two front little drawers are curved to match the curve of the front. The four bottom drawers are flat. It is on wheels The inside of the drawer have some pencil marking and one has black ink spilled The worst part of the veneer is the bottom drawer top right ... morecorner- zoom in and you can see it. Notice the joints that connect the drawer. My research shows it is a knapp joint. Used between 1871 and 1905. I have more photos if you want. Non-smoking home. This beautiful dresser has the original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and imperfections on the top surface consistent with the age of the item. Sometimes the drawers can be a little balky sliding them in and out. I bought this 36 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. We see no other evidence of any alterations on the chest so we suspect it was a case of the later. The sides of the case are very nicely shaped all flowing with the front apron. Selling the antique 4-Drawer Walnut Empire/ Federal Dresser with Tiger Maple Inlay& Walnut veneer front c. mid 1800s. All drawers are dove tailed and have glass knobs(except the blanket drawer which has grooves on the bottom where you pull it open) The dresser measures approx 45" high x 42" wide x 22" deep. A few small pieces of veneer are missing and one small area of veneer is buckled. The front right foot has a cosmetic crack. Overall. A very nice looking antique piece of furniture.

19th Century Chest of Drawers Antique 1800s Maple Dresser Dovetail Top FREE SHIP
19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of maple wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 19" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. There is fantastic hand-cut. Dovetail detailing on the top surface of the dresser, which appears to serve no practical purpose. It is a beautiful yet subtle decorative element, disconnected from the boarder of the dresser top. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smaller drawers have 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. ... moreThe drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at a slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. It does appear as though the chest was painted at some point and later stripped back to the original wood. The only evidence of this is some hidden drip spots on the inside portions of the dresser. The pulls are quite old, but do not seem to be original to this piece. There are extra holes in some of the drawers where the original pulls would have been placed. These pulls look Federal in style, with oval stamped back plates and a bail. There is one area on the top surface that measures 4 1/2" 5" in diameter where finish is missing. This is possibly due to water damage. Two of the drawers have fairly significant cracks in the faces. One was unceremoniously repaired

This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches. The dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back. And is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in ... morebetween two upright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving.
