A sign of quality craftsmanship. The drawers are also adorned with these stunning pierced brass pulls. This is a rather uncommon piece of late Victorian furniture. A carved Walnut lock side lingerie chest. Locksides(sometimes called Sidelocks) were. Although uncommon by themselves, were generally executed as larger chests of drawers, more typically a dresser or chest. This piece is a lingerie chest with a beveled mirror(excellent condition) top with heavily carved crest and framework with pierced carved supports. Rather an overall organic motif with an Eastlake influence. Base has 4 deep drawers with a hinged locking panel(no key) along the right side. We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning antique dresser. This is a beautiful and functional piece. The dresser has two smaller drawers and a hat box over four larger drawers. The piece is elegantly simple and takes up very little room. It measures 24 11/16" wide x 17 7/8" deep x 49.25" high. This piece has the original finish that has been reconditioned to a high sheen. There are some age and use appropriate dings under the finish as well. It is missing one of the original handles as well. The drawers all have dove tailed joints as well.
