These areas are on the right side edge of the top at the back on both the right and left sides, and one small area on the bottom drawer front next to the front leg. The chest of drawers has reeded accents running down both sides at the front that continues onto all four feet, which are straight and tapering. The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. Miniature American Classical(Late Federal) Mahogany Chest of Drawers New England c. 1810-20 Item# 130105RQY17 This is a very fine American Classical(Late Federal) Mahogany Chest of Drawers. A Salesman's Sample of Miniature dimensions c. 1810-20. It is crafted of solid mahogany(top, sides, drawer fronts, drawer secondaries, columns) mahogany veneers(stile facings on right and left of drawers and drawer blades) white pine secondaries(back, bottom, interior blocking) rosewood(knobs) and unidentified stringer inlays(appear to be holly or satinwood) The top is rectangular in form. Projecting over the front and sides with tight turrets at the corners over spiral-turned columns- these complex formations transition from a series of tight ring turnings into the spiral balusters over tiny urns and completed with a series of complex ring turnings ... moreover cork feet. The columns define the chest, greatly elevating the form with tasteful embellishment that does not distract from the overall composition. The graduated two over three drawers retain their original rosewood knobs, these flanking the inverted tear-drop escutcheons and framed as a whole in the rectangular stringer inlays. Dovetail construction dominates the chest. Through dovetails securing the sides of the case to the bottom and presumably to the interior framing upon which the top is set(unable to verify without removing the top) The back board is deeply chamfered to slide into rabbets in the sides and is secured with glued blocks inside the case and tacks along the lower edge. The drawers are likewise dovetailed front and back, the bottom board on four of the five with mitered edges to slide into rabbeted drawer sides: one of the tiny drawers varies in construction from the other four. The bottom board is chamfered along the edges, sliding into rabbets in the drawer sides. Counter to the two-and-one-fourth dovetail pins securing the fronts of the other drawers, this tiny drawer has just two dovetail pins without the lapped edge on the bottom. However

Sheraton Style Mahogany Chest of Drawers from CT ca 1800
This is your chance to own a piece of Connecticut history. This bureau is a family heirloom coming from an 18th century farm in Old Lyme. It is in very good condition for a piece that is about 200 years old. The top drawer is faced with crotch-split mahogany surrounded by inlay. Each drawer face is framed with beading. The beading is missing in a couple of places from use over the years. Each of the drawers has a lock but we have no keys for them. The hollow brass hardware is original to the piece. Some of the pulls will need repair but the brass is all there. The varnish is crazed from age and it may be the original finish. The mahogany is split in a couple of places from age and there are a couple of nicks in the veneer, all adding to the patina of the piece. The drawers are constructed of poplar. Antique Mahogany Sheraton-Empire Chest Of Drawers Circa 1830's-40 This very handsome antique mahogany Sheraton-empire chest has four large drawers with the glove drawers and nicely done back splat. It's in a beautiful caramel swirled colored mahogany. The brass pulls are new replacements, all the drawers are dovetailed with chamfered bottoms an slide in and out very smoothly. The chest is 43 1/2 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 51 inches at highest point at top of back splat and is in very good condition with no visible repairs and just a mere age crack on either side which is very common and hardly noticeable. Early American Empire Crotch Mahogany Chest of Drawers
Outstanding early American Empire Chest of Drawers that has been in my family for generations. Quite possibly the work of cabinetmaker Thomas Day. Who worked in North Carolina in the early 1800s. I've been told that this piece dates to the 1820s and is in exceptional condition, despite two small spots of missing veneer and one damaged drawer knob. I'm told that everything on it is hand made and stunning. Restored, it would be much more valuable.

A very handsome antique Federal. Circa 1810, bow front mahogany chest of drawers. The front posts are carved as twist rope and reeded spool, the feet as cylinders. The drawer fronts are uniform flame mahogany veneer. The top is of two solid boards, the posts solid, the sides of veneer. It measures 40" tall by 41" wide by 18" deep at center. Very good plus condition: original finish, a few minor old veneer patches on skirt and some larger on lower sides. Old brasses and knobs are old replacements to originals. Top boards without wear, cracks or spots.

A very nice antique. Circa 1830's, Empire Period solid mahogany chest of drawers, with the drawer fronts in flame mahogany veneers. The columns are veneer wrapped around, with carved capitols. Case is on four ball feet. The drawers and secondary wood is pine. The top is of three mahogany boards. The sides have recessed panels. Chest measures 53" tall by 50" wide by 24" deep. Very good plus condition: original unworn finish, flame veneers very fine. The lock to the top center drawer is missing, four other drawer locks present. The Chippendale style brass escutcheons are old replacements for the Empire style originals. Minor chip to edge molding around the top boards. Back boards with shrinkage cracks masking taped over.

Antique 19th century mahogany veneer chest of drawers. There are four drawers with turned wooden knobs and applied decoration in the center of each. There is also fifth hidden drawer at the very bottom. Decorative cut outs at the edge of each foot. Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. The chest could be restored or be used as it sits. Free local pickup. I may be able to deliver in the Kansas City area. Message me if interested.
