Up for auction is a circa 1800 Federal chest of four drawers. Solid cherry top. Sides, and drawer fronts. The side boards and top board is 7/8"thick. Original splayed Federal legs. Measures 38" high x 41" wide x 18" deep. The backboard adds another 6" to the height. Drawer interiors are pine with early dovetail joints and chamfered drawer bottoms. This is a very nice walnut dresser with wishbone mirror. As far as we know it is all original. It has been owned by one family for the past 70 years. We do not know the history of it prior to that. The piece is in very good condition with exception of a crack on the top of the right hand glove box and a couple dark stains on the top of the dresser. As you know. Any antique furniture will have minor nicks. We have not tried to repair anything, but did apply a good furniture oil to the entire surface. Acorn pull handles. HI. great antique empire salesman sample dresser. this one has two small drawers on top with two wood handles each and three draweres on the bottom. the top drawer has no handles. It's in a beautiful caramel swirled colored mahogany. The brass pulls are new replacements, all the drawers are dovetailed with chamfered bottoms an slide in and out very smoothly. The chest is 43 1/2 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 51 inches at highest point at top of back splat and is in very good condition with no visible repairs and just a mere age crack on either side which is very common and hardly noticeable. Antique Victorian Eastlake walnut chest of drawers mirror frame on stand
Please do not use Ebay shipping charges. I will advise buyer as to actual shipping and packaging charges once the auction is completed. Offered for auction is this nice large walnut mirror frame that attaches to the top of a chest of drawers. Two walnut supports with brass turn screw attachments support the mirror frame(no mirror) The supports have screw holes in the bases of them to be screwed down to the top of the chest. Mirror can be angled up or down with the brass adjustment handles. Frame has nice parallel carved reeded lines all around and the dimensions are outside. 35 1/4" x 29 1/8" Inside, 30" x 24 1/2" Weight is about 10 lbs.

Antique 1830's mahogany veneer step back chest of drawers. It comes from New England and has the original finish. The brasses are not original. But are from the 1800's. It stands 49" high, 42" across, 17" deep. The two small drawers on top are 3 1/2" high. They have round cookie corners. Please see picture 4 showing age separation) The four large drawers are 6" high, also with cookie corners. There are two brasses and a brass keyhole on each drawer. The drawers are dovetailed. Chest of Drawers Bottom: Burled Cherry Veneer Drawer Fronts Handcut dovetailed drawers with chamfered panel poplar bottoms and interior woods. Step back center section. 3 burled cherry veneer drawer fronts with hand cut dovetailed drawers with chamfered panel poplar bottoms. 4 Cherry turned legs at the base– replaced. Half turn columns on the front. Cherry Knobs– replaced. Some minor restoration to the veneer front. All Cherry Sides. Case 41 inches wide. Top 43 inches wide and 21 ½ inches deep and 46 inches tall. Top: 2 Mortise and ... moretenon doors. 6 individual paned windows with original glass, cherry sides, center swivel mirror(older replaced mirror) with cherry crown moulding with burled cherry venner over it on the top. Beautiful antique chest of drawers in mahogany with a gentle sweep of a bow front. All original. Including its finish, as I hope you see in my close-ups. It features four nice deep drawers, perfect for storage, and has the dust panels between each level. The top pair drawers' inside measurements are 15 1/2" across by 5 1/2" tall, and are 15" to 17" deep, given the curvature of the front. The middle drawer's inside measurements are 32 1/4" across by 7" tall and 14 1/4" to 16 1/4" deep. The bottom drawer's inside measurements are the same as the middle except it is a little deeper at 7 1/2" tall. Overall. The measurements of the chest are 35 1/4" tall by 34 3/4" across by 16 1/4" to 19 3/4" deep. All four drawers work perfectly and have hand-done dovetail joints. Each ... moredrawer has original brass pulls and locks, though the key is missing. The finish is in great condition overall. I did my best to take accurate pictures of the style and quality. Pennsylvania c. 1805-20 Four graduated drawers flanked by chamfered columns over splayed French feet Item# 1301PYP21PZ While the Hepplewhite form employing splayed french feet in case pieces is well developed. Even common, this chest exudes a certain strength that is uncommon in Federal period works of the Hepplewhite style. The solid walnut and solid poplar construction gives it inordinate weight, but the intense lift of the feet, raising the apron sharply in the corners, eliminates the heaviness of the look. The projecting top is crafted of two boards, the last 3/4" along the front actually a continuation of the front of the chest up through ... morethe top, a somewhat unusual and perhaps unique construction method. Surrounding this is a dropped and applied molding over four graduated drawers. These with molded lips of the solid, each framed with hand dovetailed poplar boards with a deeply chamfered poplar bottom sliding into rabbets in the frame and tacked at the back with square nails. The dovetailing method is somewhat original, using very large dovetails at the front, smaller dovetails at the back, the lowest back dovetail squared on it's lower edge to receive the drawer bottom in the rabbet cut. Flanking these drawers are chamfered columns on either side. Both sides of the case are single solid planks of walnut. Incredibly large boards with wonderful grain appearance. Five vertical poplar boards line the back of the case, these entirely undisturbed and nailed in neat rows, the boards on the far left and right sides continuing all the way to the ground. As a result of this construction method, the feet are in simply outstanding stable condition, despite the incredible weight being supported. Antique Childs Doll Chest Of Drawers Dresser Hand Crafted Folk Art Toy Jewelry Old folk art dresser-sound.Hand crafted from various salvaged hard woods-drawers have some mahogany cigar box pieces.All original finish-that nice rich dark brown with the gorgeous patina of age.Clean.Drawers are lined in a printed lace patterened paper-with matching( blue thumbtacks. Mirror is quite old and also has a great patina-almost looks like polished tin the way the silvering is oxidizing. I added a newer glazer point on the back of the mirror as the original nail is gone. There's a break in the mirror bow arm on the backside-and looks like this was re-attached at some point. Bottom drawer the wood bottom has cracked-but it's not going anywhere-and you'd only know this if you pulled the drawer and looked at the bottom-the paper lining keeps ... moreit flat inside. Lots of hours went into the creation of this piece,well crafted,well loved. I believe the top suffered a spill long ago,which moved the finish a bit-and was covered up with something-as I found those same blue thumbtacks on either side underneath( I have removed them) looks really lumpy in the pics-not so in real life.Measures 21" x 13" x 7" and a smidge.Mirror swivels.Charming old thing. 1800s Walnut chest dresser with acorn pulls-BEAUTIFUL!!!
Approx 1860's Gentleman Dresser. Ornate carvings between the legs on the sides. The wood is in great shape. It does need tender loving care. There is another top drawer inside one of the large drawers. For being this old. This piece is in good shape. I love this piece, but can't keep everything. Would look great painted a yellow with a granite top. Or white with a marble top. The two top drawers could be made into jewelry boxes.
