These are wonderful pieces for your home and take up very little floor space. We have had on in our bedroom for years. They fit flush against any wall and provide lots of storage for books or to display your"pretties" on. This one some very pretty carved trim accents across the top of the drop down door. It's is made out of solid oak with an oak veneer back. These can go into just about any room of your home from a bedroom to your den. Family room and country kitchen. We seldom see one as nice as this one coming over from England these days. It has a 12" X 24 1/4" footprint. The unit is 24" wide. This bookcase is exquisite. I don't know what time period its from. There is indication on the back that states made in India It appears to be all Hand Carved and Hand Painted and It is HEAVY. I am offering this for local pick up only and would prefer to only accept cash for this transaction. For sale are three(3) antique barrister bookcase modular STACKS. With"lift and slide" glass doors. Each bookcase is stack of six(6) modular sections that rest on top of each other, sitting on a foundation"base" frame, and completed with a crowning"capital" frame. The photos show the complete bookcases and details. The approximate dimensions are(L) x(W) x(H) Base frame: 3' x 1' x 2.5" Bottom modular section: 3' x 1' x 16" Middle modular section: 3' x 1' x1' Capital frame: 3' x 1' x 3" TOTAL height is approximately 81.5" or 6.79' I'm not an antique professional. However, the cases were examined and we were told they may be real Globe Wernicke, or crafted in the same style. The bookcases are quite nice, appear old, are dark wood, some modules have mitered ... moreglass, all are without labels. We inherited them from a friend who passed away that was a lawyer. This collection of bookcases is interesting because the top capitals are fashioned to come together forming an"L" shape to accommodate a corner. Known Flaws: One bookcase stack. The lower modular section needs glass replacement, and its middle section some repair work to the glass door frame. Another stack is also missing the glass from the lower modular section. The lawyer didn't mind and purchased the cases this way. We have all parts given to us, meaning small pieces of hardware, which are few. There is also gentle wear and markings expected with furnishing of this sort. Over all, very good. The bookcases are beautiful. Will keep your books dust free, and will compliment any home or office. We're full to capacity and would be happy knowing someone else can use them. Make a reasonable offer. and they can be yours. Los Angeles local pick-up is preferred. Globe Wernicke Bookcase Rare Arts Mission Style.
Arts Mission Bookcase. Excellent age related condition. Circa 1900. Two very large bookcases. Both being D 12 1/4. Base with drawer in great shape. And drawer opens and closes fine, as do the glass doors. Glass on both cases are wavy and old. But I can't attest to there originality. One of the glass doors has been extended at one point. Who. What, where, or why, I don't know. This is a solid wood series. Made with quartered and fumed oak. The pictures are very accurate in terms of condition and color of the wood. Which is darker then golden oak, with a reddish tint. The top piece does have a bit of lifting. But no splitting. Local pick-up. No shipping unless pre-arranged.

This is a lovely antique Mission-style rotating bookshelf in dark oak. Its dimensions are: 53" high. 23" X 16.5" top(which is the largest width/depth of the piece) It rotates very easily-no noise or dragging whatsoever. The bookshelf is on wheels which makes it very easy to move around when empty.
