Mission Oak Stacking Bookcase, Vintage Stickley Era
This is a beautiful Raised Outline Navajo Weaving T his is a Mission Oak 2-Stack Bookcase. Made by the"F.E. Hale Manufacturing Co. Herkimer. New York) around 1910. The bookcase is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak, and features metal alignment bands on each section. The top section is 12" tall(9 1/2" usable inside) and the bottom sectionis 14" tall(11 1/2" inside) Overall the bookcase is 34" wide, 12" deep, and 40 1/2" tall. The bookcase is in excellent condition. And has been refinished with a warm, dark brown finish. The glass has been replaced, however the hardware is all original. This auction is for an Antique Mission Oak Bookcase. It is very similar in design. Size, and construction to soem Stickley Brothers bookcases I have seen. It is not marked. It has 3 shelves with 3 vertical spindles on each side. It has an old refinish. Some light wear to finish on top shelf and a few nicks here and there. It measures 32" high by 19" wide by 12" deep. There is a small hairline crack in top shelf on right side. Bookcase is solid as a rock. Joints are tight and strong with no movement. Buyer pays $125.00 for postage, supplies, and insuran. Antique Larkin Mission oak leaded stained glass doors bookcase Stickley era
Hello. Up for auction is this striking antique solid oak, leaded stained glass, double door bookcase with scroll feet, with four adjustable shelves, and original hardware, with key for locking. It is solid oak, and in great shape for an old piece, including the original finish. Book case was made by Larkin soap company, of Buffalo, NY at the turn of the century, although there are no manufacturer's marks on it. It is indeed a Larkin. No breaks, or cracks in glass. Larkin was an early 20th Century soap manufacturer, who started giving away furniture as promotional items, and had so much success, they started making, and selling their own line of furniture. It's dimensions are 40.5" W x 57" T x 13" D, and the doors are 18.75" W x 49.75" tall each. If you like mission style, this is a must have, very hard to ... morecome by in unrefinished condition.
