Some minor fading to top, chip on very bottom of one leg,but otherwise in exceptionally fine condition. Hard to find these Little Journeys bookshelves in better condition at any price. If the potential buyer does not mind reassembling this piece( four screws and four keyed tenon pieces) I can ship relatively inexpensively. THE OVERALL CONDITION IS GOOD, WITH SOME SCRAPES TO THE METAL AND GLASS. THERE ARE SOME PAINT SPOTS AND LEFTOVER TAPE ON ONE SIDE. THIS BOOKCASE WILL REQUIRE FURTHER CLEANING. It has been made from the finest burr walnut with fabulous floral marquetry decoration made from various exotic veneers as well as mother of pearl. The top has two doors with marquetry panels which open to reveal two shelves. Which are fully adjustable. The base has four deep drawers. Very useful for storage. They are all oak lined. This is a beautiful Raised Outline Navajo Weaving T his is a Mission Oak 2-Stack Bookcase. Made by the"F.E. Hale Manufacturing Co. Herkimer. New York) around 1910. The bookcase is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak, and features metal alignment bands on each section. The top section is 12" tall(9 1/2" usable inside) and the bottom sectionis 14" tall(11 1/2" inside) Overall the bookcase is 34" wide, 12" deep, and 40 1/2" tall. The bookcase is in excellent condition. And has been refinished with a warm, dark brown finish. The glass has been replaced, however the hardware is all original. Vintage Shaw Walker Bookcase - Antique Danish Modern Cabinet Case Wood Glass
Beautiful vintage Shaw Walker bookcase. The piece is comprised of 5 stacked parts(4 shelves plus the cap at the top) which are held together by dowels. Making it easy to transport and reassemble, even for one person. The piece is in fair condition; the wood shows signs of light wear. One of the doors sags a little when slid into the frame, two of the pulls need repair, and a couple of the dowels that hold the levels together are missing. The number"2" has been marked on the inside of two of the shelves. Even unrestored it's a beautiful and functional vintage piece. With a little retouching it would be like new. Up for Sale A sturdy. Vintage Globe-Wernicke Co. Mission style Barrister Bookcase from the early 1900's that has been in my family for years. It has three glass doored sections for books(the top section is 8 1/2" high. The middle section is 10 1/4" high. And the bottom section is 12 1/4" high according to the original labels.please see photos provided) The outside dimension of the bookcase is 51"s high. 11 1/4"s deep, and 34"s wide. The glass and the metal mechanism that opens the windowed bookcase sections is all original and in working order. The base has feet. For sale is a great piece of grand rapids furniture. This is a old glass door bookshelf. In great shape for age. Comes with original wavy glass. Measures 66"x38.75"x15" Very old. Comes with minor scuffs. Scratches and ring marks from glasses inside on shelf. The back left leg has been professionally repaired. Some cracks on leg. Very very stable and very very hard to see. Does come with key for lock. Does turn and work but sometimes comes undone so I think the lock might be alittle worn. Great old piece. Never come across these large cabinets from grand rapids. The bookcase is masterfully crafted in flame mahogany. With secretaire drawer, classical 13 pane astragal glazing and adjustable shelves. The bookcase is beautifully crossbanded in satinwood and the flame mahogany is a wonderful colour. It retains all it's original shelves. Locks, keys and handles and has been well looked after. The beautiful astragal glazing is in perfect condition and the secretaire drawer retains it's original tooled and embossed leather writing surface. The back is all panelled and made from solid wood as are the drawer linings so this is a quality item which was well made using traditional methods in the second half of the 20th Century. Located in Edmonds Washington 98020. This Highly collectible Vintage Antique Stacking Sectional Bookcase. By Globe Wernicke. The wood is in very good condition. The glass doors need to be cleaned. But are in great shape. No cracks or chips in the glass. Universal 13 inch unit-Pattern 813-GRADE is: 4098 1/2 4 Sections High with Top& Base. By 1936. GW had introduced the Ambassador style, which appears to be Universal style book sections with a different style base and top. The sections have metal strips(often called“straps” that cover the joints between the sections. And also serve to lock one stack to another stack next to it. These straps are finished in what GW called an“oxidized” finish. Knobs are typically made of brass. It features 2 shelves and sits atop coasters so that it can be rolled about. The top shelf goes through the piece entirely while the bottom shelf is divided in 2 equal size shelfs on each side of the piece. It is in excellent condition and is quite sturdy and ready to use. It does have some light surface scratches but nothing that would not be expeceted of a vintage piece of this age. It can also be used as a table so it can serve more than one purpose. From an estate sale. A 5-section barriester bookcase with base and top. The top 3 sections are regular bookcases, the bottom two sections each have 3 file cabinet drawers. Patent date 1917. Overall outside dimensions are 41.5" wide, 17" deep, and 79" tall. The inside dimensions of the bookcase shelf: 15.5" between the back and the back face of the door, 40" wide, and 10" tall to the bottom of the door when it is rolled up- that is, the*useful* height that you could fit a book in. I did some google research and couldn't find a standard size the corresponded to these dimensions. So they may be a custom unit. Very deep, but pretty short. There's nail holes on the fronts of the file drawers, looks like they used to have handles, and probably also brass frames for putting a label in. So you might want to replace ... morethose. RARE antique old vintage Macey stacking barrister bookcase MISSION section + top
Up for auction is a rare 3/4 size mahogany Macey mission-style bookcase section with matching mission-style top. Original glass and hardware. Original finish has the alligator-skin texture to it. The section also has the original Macey label inside it. The top is solid and retains the original brass arm on the back that enabled this bookcase to"attach" to the one next to it. Section measures 25" long. 11" tall, 12.75" deep. Top measures 25" long, 1.5" tall, 12.75" deep. Section + top weigh 21 lbs. No damage. Just needs to be dusted off. Vintage hanging wall shelf painted in off white. Purchased at a antique store 20+ years ago in a small Illinois farming town called. Hebron. Purchased as a antique and painted to suit the buyer's decor. Fabulous storage for anyone short on space. There are a total of 5 shelves, three with an average height of 8-11.5" the two shorter shelves, on the very top and bottom, 3" and 5" The lowest shelf is the only one that is 3" in depth.
