I have spent endless hours locating a source for these knobs. This auction is for 2(two) AGED/BURNISHED) base knobs. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. If you want the knobs polished it is an additional please see the other ad. You are buying the top cap ONLY for the sectional bookcase you see in the pictures. I repeat-just the top cap. The base and 4 sections are listed in other sales. The top cap is 2 1/4" tall and 33" wide by 13" deep. It fits over the top of a bookcase that has an indented top of 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" deep. The rest of the description describes the rest of the bookcase which you might need to see if this fits yours.These never had doors and are slightly taller than the ones that you find with doors. Size is just over 33" wide by 13" deep by 17 1/8" tall to the very top. The section that shows when stacked is 16 7/8" tall. The very top of the cabinet is a little smaller so that the base of the next section can lock into it. The smaller section at the very top is 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" ... moredeep. I have 4 of these cabinets that make up the larger stack. You are buying one with the chance to buy additional if you are the first buyer. Apothecary is a historical name for a medical professional who formulates and dispenses materials medica to physicians. Surgeons and patients. This piece was made in 1963. It probably was in the corner drugstore and had different compartments to store materials which were used by the pharmacist to fill prescriptions. This piece is just as we purchased it. For condition see the pictures. This is the only one I have ever seen on eBay and it would a beautiful decorator piece which is functional. Bottom edge of top section that mates with bookcase section measures apprx 33 inches long by 12& 7/8 inches deep. G/W label on inside of unit reads. 7313T Genuine Globe Wernicke product. Look at photo of label. Label has aged badly and is lightly attached. The Globe sticker on front/center of section has been painted over. Condition: Section is straight. I see no dents or structural damage. Notice government inventory control sticker on right hand edge. I do not know if color is original or if it was repainted. Although free of dents. Finish bears considerable scratching, marring, aging, and wear. On both side ends, there appears what looks to be spot where sticker was ... moreremoved or painted over. Look at all photos. Mates and locks down tightly to bookcase section. Use as is or sand and paint. Shipped to you via insured. Well-padded, parcel post mail with a tracking number included.
