The ... morelectern rack is missing the single piece of wood of bottom molding. The lectern opens and closes as desired. It has a gadroon edge. It is finished in a dark walnut stain. I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Each section is 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep, 11 inches high and 12 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is missing a few of the brass tacks, but overall it is complete. The bottom of one of the sections has a crack and oval stain, which has no effect on the bookcase. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

Made of wood(believed to be Walnut) The unit features a variety of ornate touches including turned wood uprights and finials, and decorative shelf back trim. The unit measures 54 inches high. 30 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep, and weighs 14 pounds 9 ounces. We did not find any marks on the piece that identified the manufacturer. Not unusual on pieces of this age. The upright pieces have loosened over time and need to be tightened to prevent the unit from being wobbly. The uprights are threaded and screw into each shelf(see last picture which shows the threaded section on an upright) Wear is typical, with a variety of minor wear that has accumulated over the years. This book case is a beautiful and unique piece. It stands 51" H x 32 1/4" W x 10 1/2 D. Another 3 inches for the bottom decorative pieces. Originally it might have sat on another piece of furniture, a desk or marble topped chest of drawers? I had it for years hanging on my wall.
