This auction is for a Standing Scout(SS) Cover merit badge pamphlets printed from 1939-44. I think the greatest looking books of any cover including the current books. With the color pics of merit badges, rank and other insignia included. The SS cover had a short run and many of the book topics were never printed at all. The tan covers were being phased out to this cover when World War II hit and there was almost no color ink and BSA went to the White over Red covers. Being about 70-75 years old these covers are getting harder to find. Masonry. Copyright 1938, Printing Mar 1944, Pages 42. This book is clean inside. No marks or writing. Just the name on the cover. Interesting this book only had one staple in the spine. Most have two, and the staple just fill out so the spine is off the book, but the spine cover is in great shape. No ware just ... morelike the rest of the cover. A collector could add a new staple if they want. Only 3 printings of this rare book. These books from a non-smoking home.
