All 7 stackable pieces are original, handcrafted and in excellent working condition, made by The GUNN Furniture Co of GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN. I was told this is a ladies or child's Sectional Secretary(Desk& Libary) Bookcase, from an old school house close to Grand Rapids. This Victorian sectional unit has a solid oak wood base with adjustable feet, 2 solid glass door units with brass pulls, and 2 diamond leaded beveled glass units with brass pulls, all the glass doors open and slideback into the unit) The center section is a pull down secretary(desk) with built in divided organizer units and original workable decorative brass lock& fancy skeleton key, the top section has a bullnose curved design ... moreand the same on the bottom section. This beautiful old functional piece is all oak wood and has it's original medium fruitwood color finish with a nice old age patina. Pair Curly Maple Archictectural bookcase with Key 52.5" T adjust shelves clean
Up for consideration is a pair of maple Bookcase cabinets with adjustable shelves. Please note one bookcase is about 4 1/4 inches wider than the other. These were probably architectural pieces that were finished on the back so that they can be used free standing. They both measure 52 1/2 inches tall with an overall depth of 13 1/2 inches at the top but 11 1/2 deep at the body. One piece 45 1/2 wide whereas the other is 40 3/4 inches wide. They have 3 or 4 shelves each of which the shelves can be adjusted. These pieces are extremely heavy as maple is very dense and durable. The backs are finished on both pieces and are a bit lighter than the sides and front. Free local pickup and delivery. I can assist the buyer in arranging shipping.
