Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Each section is marked with the Globe Werneike trade mark. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The windows have antique wavy glass and there are NO breaks. The bookcase is a step-back bookcase- meaning the bottom section is deeper then the rest and extends forward. This is a nice feature for storing larger books. The only other detail is the rear of the bookcase it is not attractive. No explanation- it's just that way- some sections of the laminate backing have opened. This oak bookshelf is in good condition with some dings and scratches from years of use. The unit is five pieces consisting of base. Three shelves and top. Here is a single stacking barrister bookcase top section dating from the Mission. Arts& Crafts era. Made of quarter sawn oak and is marked Macey 98(see pics) The original hardware is all intact and the door works fine, glass not cracked. Total measurement(including top piece) is 34" long x 12" wide x 14 1/4" high. There are some finsh losses and scuffs, with a small long gap and small losses to back side corner areas, otherwise it is in very good condition. See calculated cost for shipping charge and options. Up for auction is this bookcase door off of a old barristers cabinet. I am not sure of the manufacture.frame seems to be in solid condition. This door also has the old wavy glass.wood has a nice patina probably oak. Door measures 32 7/8" x 11 1/8" Glass size measured in frame is 30" x 7 7/8" There also are some cutouts on the frame out of the wood not sure what they were for. Pair Antique Globe Wernicke Barrister Lawyers Quartersawn Oak Bookcases
Lovely pair of early 1900 barrister bookcases. Both are 72 inches tall. 34 inches wide and 9 1/2 inches deep. Both are grade 299 solid quartersawn oak and both have a desireable draw in the base. Both have bands and brass knobs on all sections and antique wavy glass. One top has extensive damage to it but cannot be seen because it is so tall. I took a photo of it. It could use to have the top part replaced but I left it alone. Backs are in good condition. All sections are labeled with the Globe wernicke labels. A great addition for a library or office. Paypal.
