And a clever roller latch/ throw bolt system at the top/bottom of both doors. When the right door is opened, the left is simultaneously released. When the right door is shut it forces the throw bolts on the left door to extend into the wood frame at the top and bottom, securing both doors shut. Size: 31.5" wide. 11.25" deep, 47.5" tall on casters. Model 340. Most examples of this form I've seen are 34" wide, this one is 31.5" Great size for fitting in many spots within the home. Antique Primitive Painted Oak PIE SAFE 4 doors 2 drawers Needs Work. I've used this old pie safe in my pantry for years. I believe it to date from about 1900. It stands 70 1/4 inches high. 37 3/4 inches across and 17 inches deep. It features 2 top doors with 2 shelves. 2 drawers, and 2 bottom doors with 2 shelves. Hardware is original. And you'll notice the lovely wood handles. It appears to be oak under many layers of chipped paint. The piece has so much character. And although it is a heavy, sturdy piece, it is a bit of a project. The corner of a door needs gluing. The grilling needs some tacks, and the bottom shelf needs a bracket. I like the paint the way it is, but it does need cleaning up. Refinishing is an option, also. You'll notice that the very top of the pie safe does not appear to be original. Here are a good sound pair of upper Hoosier type cabinet doors from a fellow who used to do a lot of antique repair and refinishing. Each door measures 11 1/2" by 17" and are made of oak with a frosted glass panel. They have their original latch but are missing one out of 4 hinges. I believe that they have had their original finish removed and are in nice clean condition for a new one. No chips or cracks. 8 Oak 2-Panel 1930 Catholic Seminary Doors w/Knobs,3 complete hinges on 7 Doors
These came from a Catholic Seminary in Canton.Ohio almost 20 years ago. They were removed because the place was being converted into more modern looking apartments.All 8 doors have working knobs. There are 7 doors that look like the one in the first 3 pictures.These 7 have a chrome knob on one side and brass-looking on the other side(I did not test with magnet) 6 of the 7 doors have both halves of all 3 hinges. 1 door has only half of the 3 hinges. The last 4th through 9th photos are of the entrance door-NOTE the vent-air can pass but you can not see through the vent. 4. 5, and 6 show one side; and, 7, 8, and 9 show the other side. This entrance door is larger than the others-it measures 31&7/8ths X 83&3/8ths. The 7 inner doors vary slightly from 29&5/8ths to 30 wide and from 81 to 81&7/8ths high. I want $100 per door. This is probably one of the nicest quarter sawn oak ribbon cabinets I have ever had. The larger size with a total of 12 doors; six on each side which tilt out. The center section has an additional two sliding doors which can be accessed from either side. All the doors have dowels which originally supported rolls of ribbon for sale-now many times used as a wine storage rack. We have refinished this piece and it is in excellent condition with a smooth and even finish. Signed on back CM Patten. Winnebago Minnesota. Used by the museum for egg specimens. Very nice finish and color and in excellent condition. Note the original recessed brass pulls on each of the drawers. The interior of the drawers are 16.5 wide and 22.0 deep.
