Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. It stands 51& 1/4” tall to the top of the back. 34& 1/4” wide and 12” deep. The two upper sections measure 11” tall and the bottom section is 9” tall. It weighs 90 lbs. The entire cabinet is made of Mahogany. It has all the original glass and hardware. The only exceptional is the pull knob on one of the add on cabinets. Rare, Antique Shaw Walker Barrister Bookcase, glass front, 3 piece Pick up NJ
Rare. Highly collectible Antique Barrister bookcase from the reputable Shaw Walker company. Stackable 3 piece, glass fronts. I am not sure of the type of wood, either cherry or mahogany- this piece is from the early 1900's- it has been well preserved and taken care of. The front and sides have been painted with a black Ethan Allen paint to match the other furniture we have- the inside of each unit and the back has not been painted. The measurements are about 49 1/2 inches tall(stacked with the 3 pieces) 34 inches width, and the depth is 11 1/2 inches. The top has a small scratch in the paint that measures a few inches, but the wood is not scratched as far as I can see. You can either touch up this paint scratch or remove the paint all together and restore to the orginal wood. Local pick up in New Jersey(zip code 07030)

The bookcase is a step-back bookcase- meaning the bottom section is deeper then the rest and extends forward. This is a nice feature for storing larger books. Rare antique Lundstrom barrister bookcase. This is a five piece stacking set with glass fronts. There is a base three graduating sections and a top with a small gallery edge. The unusual. Hard to find, narrow size of this great bookcase is what makes it so desirable. While most of these bookcases measure on average 34" wide; this one is a sweet size of 25 1/4" wide. It is made of solid oak, not veneers, with glass paned door fronts. Each section is stamped by the maker and the top piece still retains the original tag. Beautiful early 1900's arts and craft barrister in the art mission style. Grade 299 solid quartersawn oak. All doors have their original scirror mechanisims and they have there original side rails for the doors to operate. Each door opens with ease. All sectiosn have antique wavy original glass with original knobs. The base has a very desrieable drawer. The quartersawn oak grain is outstanding. Very light wear to the top. Still displays well. Macey bookcases have an interesting history. Otto Wernicke of Grand Rapids patented the original elastic bookcase around 1892 and produced them in his own plant under the Wernicke name until around 1902. That's when he formed a partnership with Globe in Cincinnati and bookcases using his patent were produced under the Globe-Wernicke label. However, Wernicke was not happy with arrangement so he went back to Grand Rapids and purchased the factory owned by Fred Macey in 1905 calling it the Macey-Wernicke Co which was shortened to just Macey in 1907. Antique Globe Wernicke Double Wide Colonial Mahogany Barrister Lawyers Bookcase
Collector's piece lawyers barrister stacking bookcase with a lovely dark reddish brown original finish. This is a rare double wide colonial barrister that comes apart for a total of 6 seperate pieces. The wood is Mahogany and is grade 598 1/2 the finest they made. The doors open and slide into the bookcase to protect the bookcases. This bookcase came from the library at Marymount college after it was closed. All sections that hold the books are labeled with a special label. Says Philadelphia. New York, London, and Paris. The base is also labeled A-C Double Colonial Drawer Base. The bookcase has two desireable drawers at the base of the bookcase. The bookcase is extremely well made with thick, heavy mahogany. All doors have all hardware and open with ease along with the original antique wavy glass. The only issue is one door has a partial ... moreknob that still opens but will need to be replaced.
