I have spent endless hours locating a source for these knobs. This auction is for 2(two) AGED/BURNISHED) base knobs. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. If you want the knobs polished it is an additional please see the other ad. Carved broken arch pediment, 4 doors on the top, 2 doors on the bottom, 5 dovetailed drawers, drop front leather top writing surface, brass hardware, beautiful wood grain, and ample shelving. Each of the drawers has a working lock and the key is included. There are 3 glass shelves on the upper center and 6 wood shelves in the upper left and right unit. Each of lower doors conceals one wood shelf. The upper unit is lighted but the current cord should be replaced. This item is in wonderful antique condition with only minor signs of age appropriate wear as pictured. The original antique bubble glass is free from breaks or damage which is very hard to come by. The backing to the upper unit looks to be lined in a off white colored wall paper and there is a red drip stain to this surface as seen in image#18 on the lower left side. Wear to the finish on one of the shelves can also be seen in image#18. Breakfront measures 92"h x 72"w x 16"d in total. The upper unit measures 56"h x 70"w x 12"d. Stamped"CW 60" Item# 120011TRP10 This is a fine antique Edwardian revolving bookcase. Crafted of solid golden mahogany, the top a single thick plank edged by carved molding over two levels of bookshelves. These are set at two distinct heights(10" top, 12" bottom) that allow it to comfortably hold most average size books. The sides are crafted of four shaped mahogany slats, each secured to the case with rounded screws, achieving the breezy and transparent overall aura associated with most fine pieces of the Edwardian period. The entire case spins with remarkable ease on thick dowel system inside of the case, presumably utilizing some kind of bearing inside for to account for the smoothness ... moreof the rotation(we have not taken it apart to see exactly what the mechanism is inside, but it is very strong and very smooth) This rests over four splayed feet locked together with a forged iron cross, resting over original caster wheels. This is the perfect decorator piece for any library or study. But with it's airy proportions still being very desirable in the living room beside a large couch. It is a gorgeous piece that was built to last generations, something that you will certainly enjoy in your home for a lifetime. Amazing Antique Oak Display cabinet Dates from Late 1800 to early 1900 It appears to have been refinished at some point but is in good shape It has its original wavy glass that came with it when it was manufactured The dimensions are 8 feet wide 6 feet tall and 32 1/2 deep It has three oak shelves that have been added. They are not original and can be taken out if needed. The shelves are 12" deep There is a crack in one of the glass panels that I have shown in a picture. I have not attempted to replace the glass as I did not want the glass panels not to match There are raised panels on each side. Two drawers complete the unit. Hi. This is a lovely little revolving bookcase. It's a red pine with 3 grooved pine strips on each side. Base is made with an East-lake style design decoration. I would guess circa to be early 1900's. The top has a more brownish color to it which accents the piece. I am selling as found from an estate sale. It stands approx 29 inches high from top to floor with the top measuring 16 x 15 3/4 inches and 11 1/2 across the bottom of the base. Two shelves for books or display measuring 7 3/4 inch high on the top one and 10 1/2 high on the bottom shelf. Revolving motion is smooth and sturdy. ANTIQUE BOOKCASE with leaded glass art decor doors 1900-1950
This beautiful book case or curio cabinet is in wonderful condition. There are no scratches and all leaded glass is unbroken and there are no cracks or chips. There is hand carving at the top of the front edge fthat gives the cabinet very attractive added detail. This bookcase has been in my family for three generations. The Art Deco styled leaded glass doors work perfectly. The door on the left has an interior latch and the door on the right has a keyed lock. A very fine antique. Circa 1900, Globe-Wernicke dark mahogany stained maple three stack bookcase with top cap and bottom drawer. Doors lift up and glide back, original wavy glass panels. Doors and drawer with all brass knobs. Bookcase measures 47" tall by 34" wide by 11" deep, the shelves 8" deep. The two lower stacks are labeled: size C11, grade: 398. Excellent condition: original finish, interiors maple stained, no chips or cracks to boards. All wavy glass panels without damage.
