You are viewing a PAIR(2) ANTIQUE BLUE GLASS BRISTOL HAND PAINTED VASES with RUFFLED RIMS which are HAND BLOWN and measure 7 1/2" tall. They are in very good vintage condition. NO CRACKS. There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. It is a streak of brown paint either in the blue glass or on top of the blue glass, probably on top. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Please view my other auctions and thanks for looking! Up for your consideration is a Pair( 2) of Antique Victorian Bristol Glass Vases. They are hand blown and hand painted and have the pontil scars. The flowers and leaves are enamel hand painted and they have gold gilt lines attaching the flowers. They are tall and measure 11 1/4" tall and the base is 4 1/4" in diameter. These incredible designed pair of vases are made in England.The enamel hand painted floral flowers are rust. Gold, green, gray, white and gold gilt. Three Beautiful Bristol Glass Vases 1800's Gorgeous hand painted opaque vase and two companion vases. Largest vase has floral design with butterfly and is white with pink interior. Companion vases with floral design are satin pink with white interior. These Victorian era vases were made in Bristol.England likely in the mid 1800's Rough pontil mark on bottom of larger vase.Pontil mark has been smoothed out somewhat on companion pieces. Gold gilding around base of larger vase is partially missing.Very slight loss of paint in a couple of places. Two Bristol Frosted White Glass Vases with white& orange flowers. Victorian style. These vases were not made to be a pair. But they found their way to one another, and certainly make a good pair. One came from my wife's side of the family, and the other from my side. Go figure! The smaller vase has white& orange flowers and leaves in raised paint. There is a pontil mark visible on bottom. 8 5/8" tall; 2 3/4" diameter at top; 3" diameter at base. The paint used to create the leaves and the flower stems is faded The paint for the flowers is strong. The ring just below the top of the vase has only a short portion of the gold line that apparently used to circle the vase. There are no chips. Cracks, or other damage. The larger vase has blue flowers. In addition to white and orange. Flower stems are rendered in raised ... morepaint. There are leaves that are very subtle and appear almost as shadows. There is a pontil mark visible on bottom. 12" tall; 4 1/4" diameter at top; 3 3/4" diameter at base. Paint is very strong except for the four rings of gold one at the top rim, two around the constriction, and one around the bottom. There are no chips, cracks, or other damage. This is a very large and dramatic pair of antique bristol glass vases from an estate. These vases are in very good condition. One of them has a few very small chips on the inside of the rim. These chips are pretty small, there are no cracks, and the chips do not show on the outside of the vase. They are large, measuring 12 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide and they weigh 1 pound 12 ounces, and two pounds. Note the difference in weight! Great enameling, with a few splashes of pink. Bristol Glass Hand Blown & Hand Painted Pair of Vases, Victorian, Mid 1800's
This pair of vases could also be used as candle sticks. They have nice pontils on the bottoms. And are decorated with handpainted beads and slashes in pink and lavender. Each one stands 6 3/4" tall. With a top diameter of 2 1/8" Though they are painted with the same design, only one of them is trimmed at the top lip with a thin lavendar band. This band is repeated, again, only on the one piece. The other one just has the beads, drips and looping design around the middle of the body. They are a very close match to the pair of mantle lustres that I am also listing. Each vase is decorated with colorful roses and green foliage. The color of the vase shades from a yellow near the bottom to green and then to brown from the shoulder up to the top rim. CONDITION: Very good with no chips or cracks. Colors are beautiful and vibrant! Photos were taken outdoors in natural light. White spots appearing in the photos is only from glare. Up for auction we have an ANTIQUE MATCHED PAIR OF VICTORIAN ERA BRISTOL GLASS MANTLE VASES- 1850-1899. They measure 11" tall. 3" across base and 4" at widest point. Both are in need of a good cleaning which we will leave up to the new owner. They are hand blown with rough open pontils. They have beautiful enamel hand decorated floral designs in perfect condition. Most of the gold trim is intact[I'd say about 98% there is light wear around one of the ruffled tops] They are scalloped, ruffled tops with pedastal bases. The color looks like it is very slightly blue-tinged almost opaquish/frosted so we really don't know if it is just from use over the years and will come off with a good cleaning.
