But nice things. the maker is not identified on this hand blown vase. i think it looks like mt washington or pairpoint. but my pals say it is webb. yeah right. lol it is pretty. Short and squatty though. almost shaped like a rose bowl. pretty pink top can be taken for burmese. my vase measures. 5 1/2 inches to the ... moretop spike. only 2 inches for the bottom spike. bulbous bowl bottom. broken pontil on the bottom to indicate it was blown. 3 small dotd of black near the top are bits of flotsam in the glass and not just dirt. unusual shape for a jack in the pulpit. they are usually tall and thin. anyway. There is no reserve on this short and squatty one. it is opalescent as you can see shadows through the white bottom. Victorian 19th Century hand painted enameled green cream glass vase with floral decoration Looks like some Mt. Washington vases but we do not know. It’s just very beautiful. Unique shape with large bottom& long. Narrow neck. Overall large size with skillfully painted flowers& leaves in colors of pink. Rose, yellow, blue, green& brown on a creamy pale green ground. The creamy color gradually becomes a pale blue toward the top of the neck. The tiny blue flowers vine all the way up the neck& on the back. The painted decoration is embellished with raised gold outlining. Unmarked. No pontil mark visible. There is a tiny(1-2 mm) nick/ chip on the top edge(see photos) Other than very minor rubbing to some of the gold. No other noted damage. CORALENE/ CORALINE BEADED SEAWEED YELLOW SATIN GLASS VASE WEBB MT. WASHINGTON Up for your consideration is a beautiful. Rare Yellow Coralene vase! This exquisite vase is made of a white cased interior and an exterior satin finish which shades from a light yellow towards the bottom to a darker yellow towards the top. Possibly contains uranium in the glass as it glows under black light as seen in picture. It is decorated with yellow coralene beading covering the entire outside of vase in a"seawood" type design. The top rim is trimmed in a gold color and the bottom has what appears to be a polished pontail. Coralene is a style of decoration where glass beads are applied to the surface, then the piece is reheated to fuse the beads to the surface. This vase is in great condition with a minimal amount of beading loss(the last few pictures ... morewere taken with the flash on which enables you to better see where the beads are missing) there are no cracks or chips; very minor wear on the gold colored trim of top rim; a couple encased air bubbles as seen in the 8th picture. The approximate measurements are 4 1/2" tall, top opening is 2 1/4" in diameter, 4 1/2" wide, and bottom base is 2 3/8" in diameter. It is unmarked so unknown maker but fits both Webb and Mt. I dont know who made this? Its only 5" tall. Has clear frosted glass feet. Has some flowers painted on it. The feet are sharp all of them. All have a chip on them. Older and used. Burmese glass. First made by Frederick Shirley(Mt. Washington) in the 1880's period, was shortly after made also by Thomas Webb, England. This piece therefore may be either English or American. A beautiful art glass made by the addition of uranium oxide and gold to an opal glass mixture creating an opaque yellow glass that became salmon-colored when heated, peachblow Burmese glass is highly prized by the antique art glass collector. This beautiful petite Victorian glossy-finish art glass vase is pink colored fading to a soft yellow. It has a lovely fold-over. Five-point ... morestar-shaped top and measures 3-1/2" in height and 2-5/8" from widest point to widest point across the top. It is in excellent condition and has been in my collection for about 40 years along with one that is an example of the matte finish, as shown in the last photo.
