This exceptional antique Victorian claret jug has a tapering cylindrical cut glass panelled form. Onto a star cut colet foot. The claret jug is fitted with an exceptional English hallmarked sterling silver gilt mount. The mount is heavily embellished with chased floral and scrolling leaf decoration. This impressive claret jug is ornamented with cast sterling silver gilt mask decoration to either side of the mount and the underside of the spout. The lower portion of the mount is embellished with a shaped pierced decorated border. The claret jug is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver gilt domed cover surmounted by a flame style finial. The sterling silver gilt handle is embellished with chased scrolling decoration and ornamented with a cast silver gilt mask to the lower terminal. The claret jug is fitted to the original hinged oak presentation box. The box features brass fittings and a vacant rectangular silver cartouche to the exterior front cover. The interior satin and velvet lining of the box displays the retailer's mark of'Wathersten& Son. 12 Pall Mall, East London' Condition This antique claret jug is an exceptional gauge of silver. Exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The decoration is very sharp. Pair (2) Antique Late 19thC Bohemian Enamel & Gilt Cut Glass Lustre Vases
Being offered for your consideration is a pair of antique late 19th century. Bohemian enameled& gilt cut glass lustre vases with long hanging clear crystal prisms. Each vase stands 10" high, base diameter is 4" top diameter is 4 1/4" with the six crystal prisms around. The stems of the vases are opaque with an enamel leaf design. The base and the top of each has a white and peach enameled flower and leaf design with the stems of the plant gold gilded. All the prisms are present and with the exception of one that was glued at the neck, are exceptional. The hand cutting on these is remarkable. There are a few tiny flea bites to a few of the prisms that do not detract from this magnificent and elegant pair. These are quite impressive pieces. The color of each vase resonates with a pink hue. Fascinating to look down on these ... moreto see the different thicknesses of the rim.almost as if being there when made! One of the vases has a very minor chip that is on the surface of the top of the rim only and you can't tell from the side view. Otherwise, all wear is normal for the period they came from. Both of these beautiful glass vases are in very good condition with no damage and stand 5 5/8" high with the bases. The marble bases measure 5 1/4" long by 2 7/8" wide. The bases have a few tiny minute nibbles which do not distract from the beauty. One vase has on the surface a small open bubble not covered with white enamel. No crack.

Superb 19thC Cobalt Blue Cut to Cranberry Glass Vases! This beautiful pair of early bohemian glass vases have a nice form and are cobalt blue glass over cranberry. The blue is not flashed on. There is actually a layer of blue glass over the cranberry. They are decorated with deeply engraved stags amongst trees with engraved vintage designs around their necks. They have fine detail to the engraving and were created by one of the early bohemian masters, possibly the work of Dominic Bimann, Johann Pohl, August Bohm or Simms of Gablonz. They date circa 1840‘s and measure approximately 7 + ¾ inches tall by 3 + 7/8 inches across their shoulders. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
