Vases and compote are blown of iridescent green(vaseline) glass done in Martele decor. Glass glows a neon green under a bright light. Silver plated repousse stand has geometric shapes. Brocade scrolls, and flowers with acanthus leaves. Three footed claw base is in the style of acanthus leaves. Stand is of a three part mold and has some fading to the silver plated finish. Compote has a 7-7/8" diameter rim and the vase has a 2-1/2" diameter rim. 16-1/2" tall and the base is 6" diameters. Condition: No chips. Hairline breaks or mineral deposit. This auction is for a beautiful vintage pink opalescent epergne! It is gorgeous and has great opalescence. It is well made and appears in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. I would guess this is from the early 1900's. But could possibly be older. It is a pale pink and in certain light appears a peachy-pink. photos were taken with and without flash) The bowl is oblong and has the great flaring points of opalescence! The vase fits into the base, but seems a bit loose- you could pad with stick-um or similar. The bowl is 15 inches across, 9 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall. When the vase is in place it is almost 9 inches tall. An awesome epergne for your Victorian table! This is really an impressive piece and will be packed carefully with plenty of bubblewrap. This auction is for a set of three antique late 19th Century early 20th Century ones. Victorian period blown glass flutes. In a clear glass with bright yellow and opalescent folded rims. They all come with the original metal collars for mounting and the original metal mount which attached to the base for holding the flutes. It also comes with the centerpiece screw in mount collar for the tall straight centerpiece flute. Though I do not have the center flute. They are all free ... moreform blown glass. With applied scallops down the sides. They measure approx. 9-1/4" tall when sitting flat the way they would be in the base by approx. 4-1/4" at there widest. See condition below. It is in the cranberry glass with crystal applied ... morerigaree. The Epergne is in good condition, it has been well cared for and protected for 100+ years. I have inspected all the glass pieces and I find no chips, cracks or repairs. The piece includes the base bowl, center horn, four canes and 4 hanging baskets. It has brass fittings where each piece attaches to the center. The base bowl has a brass flower form holder which has 6 openings, I assume two pieces are missing, see photos. The brass fitter that is attached to the bowl has some old epoxy where the brass piece was applied to the bowl, I assume it was loose and someone put it on to hold it in place. I have looked at other similar epergnes and I am guessing it originally would have had either two vase horns or two canes in those openings. The 4 Canes are twisted crystal glass measuring 12" long each. The 4 hanging baskets measure 6 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide each. The center horn vase measures 16" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Fantastic Victorian Art Glass - Cased Glass Epergne - Centerpiece - Ruffled Edge
This is an opportunity to acquire a wonderful ruffled edge Victorian art glass/ 2 piece epergne/ centerpiece. I do not know the maker- but each piece is marked on the bottom with a gold mark- that to me sort of looks like an open-ended figure 8. This is cased glass- white with a pink interior. The floral design is lovely and delicate- and also features metallic gold floral sprays(these did not photograph very well but if you zoom in you may be able to see it) I do want to point out what I believe to be a flaw in the manufacturing process rather than damage. There is a very small space where it looks like the pink glass did not cover the white glass. This does not in any way detract from the beauty of the piece and I had trouble finding it again for the photo. My mother used to refer to similar pieces as"Bristol glass" But I can't ... moreconfirm that. It's a beautiful thing- no matter who made it. This piece is quite large- approximate measurements are 18" 19" high and just over 10" in diameter for the bottom pedestal bowl. This would make a fantastic wedding centerpiece. Sawtooth edge and the bulbous part of each thistle vase has a fine diamond cut decor pattern. The circular base has 10 points and is also colourless glass. The bottom of the large thistle vase has a cut and polished pontil. The smaller thistle vase does not screw off. It is a part of the stand and held with plaster. Metal hardware has a leaf. Bohemian Victorian Art Glass Epergne Description: Victorian era. Three piece epergne is b lown of clear glass that has been tinted or rather stained with colour. The top portion of each piece is a amber colour with a faint iridescent hues. The bottom portion found on the large compote and middle vase is a faint lilac purple. The stem on the top vase is clear. Each piece is hand painted with hearts and geometric motifs done in vibrant enamels. The rim on each piece is cut with hand painted gold on the edge which does have fading present in areas. The middle section and top vase have a threaded stem. Truly a unique design and each piece does screw into each piece securely. The bottom of each stem is a solid piece of glass with moulded threads and has a number 3 on the very bottom. Large Dore BRONZE & ART GLASS EPERGNE w/ birds & bugs
Massive Iridescent Art Glass& Gold Dore' Bronze Table Centerpiece/ Epergne with a red pulled feather design. Museum Quality! This is a spectacular piece with wonderful color and detail. The total height is 27.5" At the top is a large"Trumpet" style vase with great gold& pink iridescence on the inside and outside. The outside is also decorated with a vibrant red pulled feather design. Trumpet diameter at rim is 8" and it is approximately 14.5" long. The trumpet vase is held securely in place by a dore bronze base with three splayed stylized bamboo stalks that are lashed together with an applied rope design. Atop the individual stalks is a repeated rope design and on the top of one stalk is perched a very detailed bronze bird(2.5" L x 2.5"W x 1.5"H) The next section of this masterpiece is ... morea large dore bronze mounted art glass bowl. The bowl consists of the same iridescence and red pulled feather pattern as the trumpet vase. The bowl is approximately 13" diameter and 5" tall. The rim is mounted by a very detailed two-sided acanthus leaf border. There is a very detailed may-fly or dragon fly atop the rim and on the other side of the rim is another detailed bronze bird that is in a different pose and is slightly larger than the bird above it. On the outside of the mount is a wonderful bronze chain that is affixed in place and encircles the entire bowl and at the terminal end are wonderfully detailed tassels. Below the bowl on the bronze base is another rope that encircles the base and is free-flowing down and wraps around two of the bamboo legs. Below that is a spectacular flowing curtain or cloth of bronze that is pleated and rippled. You can almost see it blowing in the breeze. The"cloth" has a detailed hand tooled design and patterning throughout. Also resting on one of the pleats is a large winged cicada or bee. This green glass Victorian epergne is in fair to good condition. The two flowers look hand-blown and are in excellent condition with no breakage that I can see. The bowl that is the base has some issues: If you look at pic 5. There is something missing from the center. The edge/rim as seen is pic#7 is missing a rounded point, also in pic#8, it looks like there was some repair to a broken piece or there is a crack here. The base has some dirt but I am unsure how to clean it and don't want to damage it so I will leave that to the new owner. Due to the age and condition, this item is being sold as is. The curved tuliper vase is blown of chartreuse green with an overlay of colourless glass. The vase has a crimped rim with three flared folds for a unique shape. The rim also has inverted bubbles along the crimped edge. Stand is spelter and depicts a palm tree with embossed leaves and other naturalistic motifs. 11-1/2" tall. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Cranberry Epergne Victorian Art Glass 3 Horn Trumpet Antique Rigoree Ruffled Tall 20" This wonderful Antique and Victorian era Epergne is cranberry glass so I would guess English but am not sure. It is 20" tall and 14" across at the side horns and 9 1/2" across at the ruffled base. The two side horns do come out but I didn't want to force the centerpiece out as it is fixed with white plaster type paste. However. I may try and get it apart for shipping. This is a beautiful piece which I date to the 1880's to 1900's. Epergnes were used as centerpieces in the late 19th century. The applied clear rigoree that trails around the horns makes it especially beautiful. There are no cracks and no chips. Please note and see the close up photo of ... morethe popped bubbles and carbon marks done in the making on the center horn. The center horn is 14 1/2" tall and the side horns are 9" I LOVE this piece. Will make a great addition to an art glass collection. Shelf#office.

Vintage Epergne Art Deco Glass& Brass Footed Vase Bowl 6 3/4" t x 5" w This vase is heavy and very ornate I believe the glass is handblown. There are a few chips on the rim of the vase. One is 3/16" wide and the other is more substantial at 1" long. Neither go all the way through to the inside so most of the rim is still intact. See pictures. This vase is free form and not symmetrical.
