This exceptional antique Victorian claret jug has a tapering cylindrical cut glass panelled form. Onto a star cut colet foot. The claret jug is fitted with an exceptional English hallmarked sterling silver gilt mount. The mount is heavily embellished with chased floral and scrolling leaf decoration. This impressive claret jug is ornamented with cast sterling silver gilt mask decoration to either side of the mount and the underside of the spout. The lower portion of the mount is embellished with a shaped pierced decorated border. The claret jug is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver gilt domed cover surmounted by a flame style finial. The sterling silver gilt handle is embellished with chased scrolling decoration and ornamented with a cast silver gilt mask to the lower terminal. The claret jug is fitted to the original hinged oak presentation box. The box features brass fittings and a vacant rectangular silver cartouche to the exterior front cover. Pair of Vintage Antique Mercury Glass Vases w/ Floral Motif
This lovely pair of silver mercury glass vases would be a fine addition to any collection. While they are not exactly the same(an indication of their age and the fact that they are handmade) they are a good match. They do have the usual cloudiness. Spots and other characteristics of old mercury glass, which for collectors just adds to their charm. The holes on the bottom from the blow pipe have been taped off to preserve the silver. Condition: Nice vintage condition as pictured. There is some residue along the top of both pieces. These probably had a metal gilded flourish on the top which was quite common on this type of vase. Beautiful Antique Pair of Fine Bohemian Hand Painted Art Glass Mantle Vases with Ruffled Scallop Top and Bright Birds& Orange Florals. This is a beautiful pair of vases. They are antique and are in vintage condition. The glass is clear inside with a soft satin finish to the outside up to the scalloped rim. Which is shiny clear glass, as is the very bottom of the vases. Fine detail to the hand painting. the top is ruffled and has a very thin gold trim on top of the clear openings. There is one tiny little ding in one of the ruffle which you cannot see. You can only feel it. I have taken lots of close up pictures for you to view. The vases stand approximately 12 1/2" tall. One of the vases is about an eighth of an inch taller than the other. The bottoms are 4 1/2 inches across and the top of the ruffle is 5 inches across. 2 Matching Antique Silver Mercury Glass Vases Hand Painted 10" Vintage Floral
I don't know much about mercury glass so if you have specific questions. Please ask. The silvering is wearing on these so I did not attempt to clean them in any way. One has a little wear to the silvering and the other one has a lot of wear, especially around the bottom. They are hand painted with a matching yellow daisy type flower. There is some paint wear/loss. They do not have any chips or cracks. We do combine shipping for bidders who win multiple items. So please look at our other auctions. This is a nice antique pair of Bohemian or Austrian enamel on glass vases with floral decoration. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with crazing/ wear to the enamel throughout as well as some losses to the gold around the rim and one of them has some minor nicks around the rim seen in the last pic and they come exactly as shown. They are slightly different heights as shown with the smaller being 6 3/8" tall and the other is only slightly taller with the bases being approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and the tops are 1 3/4" in diameter. Pair of Victorian Bristol Hand Painted Floral Blown Glass Bud Vases Ruffled Edge
Pair of Blown Glass mantel vases with hand painted pink flowers with yellow centers. At one time. They both had gold around the ruffled edges and around the base. Most of it has worn off although one vase has the gold line at the base. The glass on one is a little thicker than the other but they are both a milky opalescent with blue tints. The picture of the pontil scars makes the rim look really turquoise colored but the vases aren't that dark. The other pictures show the true coloring much better. The thinner glass one is more transparent.The thinner one also has wider ruffles than the thicker glass vase. Both are in excellent condition. This is a gorgeous pair of 1880's antique enameled art glass vases in triple silver plated holders. They are each marked on the bottom"Dunham& Sons Triple Plate" They are turquoise blue glass with an enameled cornucopia of flowers on each side of the vase. I have not polished the silver plate and are in as-found condition. They are a little loose and could probably use to be re-plastered into the bases. They measure about 8-1/4" tall.
