You are viewing a PAIR(2) ANTIQUE BLUE GLASS BRISTOL HAND PAINTED VASES with RUFFLED RIMS which are HAND BLOWN and measure 7 1/2" tall. They are in very good vintage condition. NO CRACKS. There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. It is a streak of brown paint either in the blue glass or on top of the blue glass, probably on top. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Please view my other auctions and thanks for looking! Antique Hand-Blown Pedestaled Cranberry Glass Vase/Bowl Ruffled
Please take a good look at this item. Because you will not see another like it for a long time, if ever. Because it is hand-crafted, it has imperfections(bubbles mostly) It is large; approximately 8-1/4" high, 10-3/4" across the top ruffles, and the base is 5-1/4" in diameter. The sadness of this piece is a discoloration that goes around three quarters of the outside of the bowl under the ruffle. And good sized(about 1" long and 3/8" wide) worn spot in the same line as the discolorization. While this may detract from the value, it certainly doesn't impact the beauty and elegance of this very old glass. It is very heavy and will require careful packaging and protection in shipment. Ruffled and crackled Art Glass vase of 8-1/2" tall having a 4" open top diameter(2-3/4" diameter vase body) by a 2-5/8" diameter rounded(lipped) foot. Its pontil mark is recessed and smoothed off, and the vase has a rounded collar to match its foot. The vase is quite heavy at one pound, one ounce- and has a very light greenish tint throughout; which is complimentary to the applied French Gilt(gold) Ormolu flowers, leaves and twigs that decorate the vase front. Victorian Ruffled Art Vase Hand Blown With Enamel Floral Painting Applied Ruffle
This is a hand blown art glass Victorian vase with wonderful enamel painting and ruffles. The vase is about 10.5" tall and has as pontil mark on the bottom. It is painted very nicely with a enameled floral design. There is some gold paint. Too. The bottom of the vase has a ruffle, which appears to have been pressed with some sort of mold to give it ridges or a pattern. The vase is in very good condition and does not appear to have any chip or flea bites. There is a spot of roughness to the bottom ruffle but it appears to be from formation of the ridges and not a chip. There is wear to the paint and gold. A light water line is on the inside of the vase and did not wash off with soap and water. It is hard to notice and the vase is very nice. Insurance is included in the shipping. First off this is not a New Reproduction Piece its a very early Hand Blown Ruffled Silver Crest Vase from an Estate that had a history dating back 150 years plus in Massachusetts. All the items from this Estate had been accumulated over a 150 year span. And the current generation decided to liquidate most everything. This vase had accumulated dust and such from sitting for many many years at this estate in an attic storage area. I did clean off much of it very carefully but I am sure it could be done better as there still maybe some left to the ruffled crest underside. The artistry of the flowers is second to none with there gold boarders and gold stems.There looks to be a gold ring around the white base which is still visible but some of it is gone. This is a matched PAIR of 12 inch tall hand blown VICTORIAN Ruffled and Amber or Smoke Crested Glass Vases. These would look WONDERFUL flanking each side of a Fireplace Mantel. Each has been very REALISTICALLY hand painted with a large and lovely Apple Blossom Branch design in pink and white. The back of each vase has a simply little Blue Flowering plant. Looks like there was originally some gold lines painted along the high spots near the base. But there is wear and most of the gold is missing. That's the only flaw I could find. no chips, nicks or cracks. Each has a pontil mark on the bottom of the base. These are large and display beautifully! Vases, Hand Blown Pair Cased Glass w/ Ruffled Tops; Deep Pink
These vases are fabulous. The colors are stunning, and the craftsmanship is excellent. They are older pieces yet they are in great condition and show no wear. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches anywhere to be found.They are hand blown and have a ribbed pattern on the body. The insides of the vases are white glass, as are the ruffled tops. The primary vase color is a striking deep pink color with a creamy beige inside the ribbing. This is an unusual color combination which really looks great together. The two vases together weigh just under 3 pounds. They measure 8 in high and 16 in around, and the ruffle at the top measures 5 and a 1/2 n. Beautiful and delicate hand blown cobalt antique vase. It's about 8" tall and is in perfect condition. No chips or cracks. I'm not sure of the maker since there isn't any markings on it. It seems to resemble the style of Mary Gregory. There is also a small gold line running all around the bottom of the vase. I couldn't even tell you the age of this vase. But all I do know is that as kids growing up, we weren't allowed any where near it or an early death would have come upon us if it was ever broke. My mom swore it was worth more than we were. The picture of the bottom of the vase shows left over residue from the tape that kept it from falling over during earthquakes or us rambunctious kids which would easily wash off not to mention where it was also held on the stick during the process of making it. Pair of Blown Glass mantel vases with hand painted pink flowers with yellow centers. At one time. They both had gold around the ruffled edges and around the base. Most of it has worn off although one vase has the gold line at the base. The glass on one is a little thicker than the other but they are both a milky opalescent with blue tints. The picture of the pontil scars makes the rim look really turquoise colored but the vases aren't that dark. The other pictures show the true coloring much better. The thinner glass one is more transparent.The thinner one also has wider ruffles than the thicker glass vase. Both are in excellent condition. This is a lovely hand blown blue glass antique vase that is very lovely and delicate. The vase is an unusual size and shape with a large bowl. Large neck and short height measuring only 6" in height and approximately 6" in diameter. The edge is nicely done ruffles or flutes giving this edge a wavy appearance. Very nice shape and feel. Antique Victorian Coralene Vase Hand Blown 1850-1899 Ruffled Cranberry Rim
This is an antique vase from the late 19th century. It is hand painted and decorated with coralene flowers and leaves. Coralene art consists of tiny glass beads that are affixed to the piece to give it a raised design with a rough texture. It was a popular technique used in the late 19th century. There is a minor amount of loss to the coralene and it is in great condition for a piece this old. The vase is 8 1/4" tall. It has a fluted cranberry rim. There is a rough pontil on the bottom.
