Let me start by saying the color in photo 4 looks orange. it is red. That being said this is one gorgeous piece of vaseline glass with red cranberry opalescent top. This epergne horn measures 12"long with the only damage to note is the chip in bottom(see photo 4) which of course would not show if in a silver plate stand or reset with brass cap. Antique Epergne Blue & Amethyst Opalescent Large Stunning! Glass Horn Vase Wow!
This listing is for an absolutely stunning. Large, and heavy antique epergne. It measures about 17 inches tall, 12 inches across the bottom bowl, and 2 ½ inches deep. The bottom of the bowl is done in an amethyst or deep purple glass that turns up into 12 points of opalescent leaves that are blue color. The horn is about 9 ½ inches tall and is in a blue color with a rough sand like texture. There are also dots of opalescent glass between the ridges of the bowl. I cannot explain how beautiful this piece is in person! When light shines through the glass it is simply amazing. I am afraid I do not know what was meant to be in the holes around the metal stem. But to me it does not retract from it’s beauty. I can find no chips or cracks, and the only flaws are a few dark spots within the glass. Up for your consideration is this single horn for a old epergne. It is around 9" long and 3" at the flower. The glass is in good shape. I see no chips or cracks. The flower has a tint imperfection, looks like a something got in the mold and left a tiny pin hole in the surface of the mouth of the flower. It looks just fine and would probably vanish if i cleaned the dust off of it. I found this at a thrift store in south Florida. This older piece of glass does have several bubbles in it. Also around the conical or smaller end there is some roughness and a small flake. This is such a sweet little EPERGNE with a single clear glass horn/flute. And a soft, silver-colored metal base. I don't know a lot about this piece. Other than it's been in the family for a few generations; I am guessing mid-century- It measures 6" tall. About 4" from the front of the base to the back of the base, and the horn/flute is almost 4.5" long. The metal is silver-colored. And somewhat pliable(no idea what it is) The base features swirly, flourishy-like designs(I've seen this before, but can't think of what it's called) and the part that holds the horn is like a thick twisted wire with little balls on the ends. EPERGNE; Single Fluted Glass Horn w/ Glass Bowl in Silver Holder. Early Century.
This is a beautiful little EPERGNE featuring a single fluted glass horn and a glass bowl with ruffled edges. On a silver-colored holder. As this was purchased in Amien. France, I believe this may be a French piece? Not absolutely certain of the age, but it has been in the family for several generations, so I believe it is early century. It measures 9.25" tall. And about 7" across at widest point. The horn is 6" long and 3.75" across the top. The base is 3" across. The clear glass has a beautiful detailed design, as does the metal base. I see only a few small flaws(see photos) The horn has a small inner flaw(does not come through to the surface) The"hole" in the bowl has some stress flaws(do not come through to the surface) and one of the ruffles on the bowl has an inside flaw(does not come through to the ... moresurface) The part of the silver metal that touches the bowl looks like it is either tarnished. It is 20" tall and 14" across at the side horns and 9 1/2" across at the ruffled base. The two side horns do come out but I didn't want to force the centerpiece out as it is fixed with white plaster type paste. However. I may try and get it apart for shipping. This is a beautiful piece which I date to the 1880's to 1900's. Epergnes were used as centerpieces in the late 19th century. The applied clear rigoree that trails around the horns makes it especially beautiful. There are no cracks and no chips. Please note and see the close up photo of ... morethe popped bubbles and carbon marks done in the making on the center horn. The center horn is 14 1/2" tall and the side horns are 9" I LOVE this piece. Will make a great addition to an art glass collection. Shelf#office.

Vintage Pink Depression Glass Epergne Bowl w/ Swirled Snake Horn & Frog
Up for auction is a Vintage Pink Depression Glass Ruffled Bowl Epergne with a ruffled horn encircled by a snake. I bought this about 40 years ago from a local antique dealer. Displayed it for some time, then packed it away for years. The time has come to let it go to a new home. The bowl is approximately 13" in diameter& the piece assembled in just shy of 10" high overall. It is in very good condition with a few minor scratches on the bowl& a few tiny air bubbles in the glass. The horn is in excellent condition& the frog has a few teeny chips around several holes. Unfortunately. The pieces are not marked so the maker is unknown. Please refer to the photos provided for item details& consider them part of the item description.
