Antique Hobbs Mt Washington ? Glass Opalescent Marine Blue Basket Vase Uranium
I located this very special little basket on the very back of a shelf in an antique store in Northern Colorado. It had been there for many years left undisturbed and forgotten. It is very much like the glass produced by Hobbs Brockunier and Mt. Washington. Perhaps even Stevens& Williams- however there are no markings and I will defer to your expertise. This opalescent color is very peculiar- sometimes blue, sometimes aqua green, but always with a smokey tint which is how I came to name it marine blue. In fact there is a brown vein running through the pie crust trim. Very handsome indeed and quite unusual. The body is delicate with an optic panel waist and a hollow stump base. It exhibits all the signs of lovely hand crafted 19th century glass such as bubbles, striations, and a rough pontil. The applied handle is clear braided glass. For ... moreuranium glass enthusiasts, it glows like a banshee under ultra violet light! There is absolutely zero evidence of any damage what-so-ever. This beauty is ready for your best collection! Here is an incredible antique clear glass 2-pc epergne and pedestal bowl. I believe this was manufactured by Mt. Washington or Fenton. The bottom of the compote has the pontil mark where it was hand removed from the firing process. The epergne and bowl have a tight ruffle all the way around the outer edges. The epergne measures 10 inches tall when it is in place. The condition is amazing for a piece of this age. The only thing I could find is a chip on the bottom of the epergne where it sets in the compote. Sweet Mt. Washington Burmese Vase, Very Finely Crimped Rim, Pristine Condition
Description: Here's a sweet little Burmese glass vase by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. of New Bedford. MA, produced ca, 1880. This vase has a ground pontil. It also features what collectors find very important in undecorated burmese pieces, specifically the very tightly crimped rim. This vase measures 4 inches in diameter at the rim and 3 1/4 inches high. Condition: I am very picky with my condition reports as I know how critical this is to internet bidders. I really can't see any issues with this burmese vase. There may be very minor shelf wear underneath but it is very difficult to see in burmese glass. Payment. Returns and Shipping Policies: Please pay by paypal within 24 hours of winning the auction. Important: I do not accept payment by e-check because of the long wait time for clearance and the technical problems that can result ... morewith this method. If you want to pay by e-check. Please mail a paper check to me! Also important: I do not end auctions early out of consideration to all bidders! I will accept a return as per ebay's 14-day return policy. Buyer pays for return shipping and insurance and upon receipt in the same condition as sent I will refund in the amount of the winning bid. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me using the ebay message system. I will gladly do my best to provide you with any needed information. Including more photos. I want you to feel confident in your bidding! Happy. Satisfied customers are my goal. Domestic s hipping with full insurance will be by USPS parcel select mail and will be a flat rate to all buyers of $10. Final Comment: I am starting this auction at $29.99. And there is no reserve. Don't let this finely wrought little vase get away.

Antique Amberina Art Glass 8" Vase Swirl Optic w/ Snake Pairpoint Mt. Washington
Here in southern New England there is a rich history of art glass production from the early 19th through mid 20th centuries. And if you're a collector of art glass then you know you've come across something special in this amberina swirl optic vase! Standing 8 3/8" tall on a footed base. This vase is 2 9/16" in diameter and has a beautiful optic swirl design. As eBay's own glass glossary reminds us, Amberina is red glass that shades to yellow at the base or center of a piece. The first amberina was made by adding gold chloride to amber-colored glass while it was still molten. After the glass cooled. It was reheated, and the gold compound caused those parts of the glass that reached high temperatures to turn red. Patented by Joseph Locke of the New England Glass Company in 1883. Amberina was first issued in the mid-1880's ... moreby New England Glass. During the same period. New England licensed Hobbs, Brockunier to make amberina as well. In 1888. Libbey Glass leased New England and took over its production of amberina. According to An Illustrated Dictionary of Glass. A fourth glassworks- the Mt. Washington company- also began producing amberina in the 1880's, but Libbey sued for trademark infringement, and Mt. Washington thereafter adopted the name"Rose Amberina" for its amberina glass. We obtained this remarkable piece just a few miles from where it was likely made in New Bedford. MA. Though unmarked(as usual) we believe this vase is a product of Mt. Washington's"Rose Amberina" line. As recalled on the New Bedford Whaling Museum's website, Lamps were just one of many products made by the glass factories of New Bedford. The first of these factories. The New Bedford Glass Company, was built in 1866 by renegade glassworkers from the Boston& Sandwich Glass Company, located in the town of Sandwich on nearby Cape Cod. Their effort failed almost immediately, and their building was purchased in 1869 by the Mt. Washington Glass Works, a business that had been operatin

Pair 1870 Antique Blown Milk Glass Jack Pulpit Vase Peach Crest Mt Washington
You are bidding on a gorgeous pair of two Milk Glass Jack in the Pulpit Vases with Ruffled Cranberry Rim and Silver Crest. The bowls are Hand painted with an amazing floral setting. Fenton made similar products in their peach crest line. But the Pontil disqualifies Fenton as maker. I suppose to be made around 1870s in North America by Mt. Washington. That would indicate an early original to quite a lot of Fenton's later designs. They measure approximately 15 inches tall. Thank you and all my best.
