VICTORIAN CRANBERRY ART GLASS SET OF VASES
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY ART GLASS VASE SET- CIRCA 1890- LAST LISTING OPPORTUNITY! For auction is a GORGEOUS pair of Victorian art glass in beautiful cranberry with gorgeous rigoree detail. These vases came from a North Carolina estate and had been packed away since 1984 along with other art glass treasures belonging to the collector's estate. There were notes with these vases indicating they were Victorian from 1890. Each vase is a delicious cranberry pink that starts out slightly lighter at the bottom and becomes darker towards the opening at the top. To my eye. One vase is a smidge lighter than the other but just a smidge. You may not see it. They definitely make a fabulous set so it does not deter from that. Each vase has a wrapped rigoree around the center in a clear color. The top of each vase has 8 scallops of clear glass that ... moreare stamped or etched. The bottom has 5 clear paddles or feet that also have a waffle type etching. Each footed vase measures a little above 8 inches high. The mouth opening measures 3-1/4 inches across and the base measures about 3 inches across. Overall condition is very good. One of the pontels has a little break that causes a slightly sharp section. So please be aware of that. It could be taken to a professional glass repairer to be sanded down but I would not bother. It is on the bottom and cannot be seen, it does not take away from the beauty and I wouldn't want to take a chance of damaging the vase. Also, there are a couple of black specks within the glass on one of the vases which I believe have always been there, they are not new marks but most likely were created during the manufacturing process. I am going to pack these very carefully with a lot of bubble and peanuts to ensure safe passage. I will have to insure these and although I will pack everything with extreme care. The maker of this vase could be Bohemian. Mt. Washington, Bristol, Fenton or some other maker. It is in excellent condition, no damage or repairs, no chips or cracks. The fired gold on the forget-me-not flowers and around the ruffled edge is worn from age, clearly visible in the images. It measures 4& 6/8 inches high and 5& 1/2 inches in diameter. Epergne is 5 pcs and is blown of crystal glass with green applied threading on each tulip shaped trumpet. The two matching 12" cranberry vases are blown of rich cranberry glass with an applied crystal base. None are marked and is believed to be attributed t o British. Stourbridge glasshouse from around 189 5- 1910. Epergne Condition: The epergne is perfect and there is no chips or hairline breaks. However. There is 5% of nicks found on the applied threading and is not visible or distract. Found by touch. Vase Set Condition: No visible chips or hairline breaks. Perfect condition! The botto m of each vase has a pontil. Measurements of the Epergne: 19" tall. Bowl is 9" diameter. It is in the cranberry glass with crystal applied ... morerigaree. The Epergne is in good condition, it has been well cared for and protected for 100+ years. I have inspected all the glass pieces and I find no chips, cracks or repairs. The piece includes the base bowl, center horn, four canes and 4 hanging baskets. It has brass fittings where each piece attaches to the center. The base bowl has a brass flower form holder which has 6 openings, I assume two pieces are missing, see photos. The brass fitter that is attached to the bowl has some old epoxy where the brass piece was applied to the bowl, I assume it was loose and someone put it on to hold it in place. I have looked at other similar epergnes and I am guessing it originally would have had either two vase horns or two canes in those openings. The 4 Canes are twisted crystal glass measuring 12" long each. The 4 hanging baskets measure 6 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide each. The center horn vase measures 16" tall and 5 1/2" wide. The base bowl measures 9 1/2" wide, 2" deep and 4 1/2" tall in center. This is a stunning and elegant old piece to add to a collection. Gold trim around the scalloped top and bottom; 14 1/4 inches tall. 6 1/2 inches top diameter, 6 1/2 inches bottom diameter; 10 Crystal Prisms- 9 inches long. A beautiful large glass epergne trumpet center vase. Note the cranberry red interior. White exterior, double crimped and ruffled edge and the colorful hand painted enameled flower decorations. The flower decorations can be felt in relief. Dates to the late 1800’s– early 19800’s. Measures a full 11 inches long and 4 3/4 inch across the top. The mounting stem measures 1 3/16 inch long. 3/4 inch in diameter at the button and tapers to 9/16 inch at the bottom. Condition is great as there are NO chips. VICTORIAN CRANBERRY ART GLASS BOWL A stunning Victorian era art glass bowl or shallow vase. This bowl has a paneled design and was hand blown. It has a factory polished top rim and verticle optic effect as seen in the sunlight reflection. There are a few tiny scattered air bubbles. Very pretty. The cranberry mauve is pink in the sunlight. This bowl stands about 3" tall and 5 1/2" wide with a 4 3/4" wide top rim. Condition: inside the bowl is a water mark around the perimeter. I soaked it in Vinegar and was unable to remove it. I have not used an abrasive or any other form of cleaner. There are no chips or cracks. Family item. Was used as a vase.

Cranberry Epergne Victorian Art Glass 3 Horn Antique Rigoree Ruffled Tall 20"
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Cranberry Epergne Victorian Art Glass 3 Horn Trumpet Antique Rigoree Ruffled Tall 20" This wonderful Antique and Victorian era Epergne is cranberry glass so I would guess English but am not sure. It is 20" tall and 14" across at the side horns and 9 1/2" across at the ruffled base. The two side horns do come out but I didn't want to force the centerpiece out as it is fixed with white plaster type paste. However. I may try and get it apart for shipping. This is a beautiful piece which I date to the 1880's to 1900's. Epergnes were used as centerpieces in the late 19th century. The applied clear rigoree that trails around the horns makes it especially beautiful. There are no cracks and no chips. Please note and see the close up photo of ... morethe popped bubbles and carbon marks done in the making on the center horn. The center horn is 14 1/2" tall and the side horns are 9" I LOVE this piece. Will make a great addition to an art glass collection. Shelf#office.

Cut rim has a lovely geometric shape and has hand painted gold along the edge. Overlay cut motifs has a geometric outline with clover. Various elongated punties and other geometric shapes. The white overlay glass is entirely hand painted with gold gilt scrolls and other geometric accents. The bottom of the vase has a polished pontil. Not signed. Harrach. Or Moser. The colourless stem is a twisted branch with pinched thorns and is attached to a colourless disc with a fine rib decor pattern. No polished pontil on the bottom of the applied base. 6-3/4" tall. Victorian Art Glass Vase Description: Egg shaped vase is embellishe d with three applied acanthus leaves and the stem of each leaf serves as the footed base. Large size. Nice craftsmanship. Blown of cased glass. Vi brant pink glass on the interior and the exterior is opaqu e white glass. Floral shaped rim is a ribbon of applied amber glass that is pulled and crimped. The applied acanthus leaf is variegated with colours of amber. Pink and green. Colourless"berry" prunt is applied on the bottom of the vase. The opaque white does glow neon green under a black ligh t. Excellent Condition. Displays lovely. No chips. Mineral deposit or hairline breaks on the vase. The applied motifs do not have any damage. 7-3/4" tall with a 3-3/4" diameter rim and the applied base is 4-1/4" diameter. Not marked. From Harrach.
