Here is a green glass vase with hand painted floral(iris) decoration in gold. I believe it is a Bristol vase from Victorian England and it was hand crafted by being blown from the top. It is cased glass with a layer of white on the inside. And a ground and polished flat surface at the upper lip. It stands about 9 1/2" high and is in excellent condition. I have several other pieces of nice Victorian art glass that I just picked up from the home of a former dealer. check them out!

A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, mold blown English Bristol art glass vase in a buff color. It is hand enamel decorated with stylized flowers, outlined in raised pink enamel, and gilt accents, the foot and rim in green enamel. It is initialed by the decorator underneath. Vase measures 10" tall by 5-1/2 diameter. Excellent condition: glass without chips or cracks(straw mark on the interior neck) ground flat top and as made not cut down. Enamels and gilt are unworn.

Each measures 9” tall and 3-1/4” in diameter at the base. They are hand blown with pontil scars on the bottom of each. They have flower and leaf decorations in colors of green. Red, cobalt blue, blue and white with gilt enameling. The rims, edges of pedestal and foot have a gilt highlight. When held to the light the glass shows a lot of fire. They are unmarked. One of the vases has an age split on one side near the bottom as you can see in the picture below and it appears to have been there a while. The vase won’t hold water. Other than that there is some wear to the gilt accents of the rim and edges of pedestal and foot otherwise the decoration is excellent ... moreand the glass is free of chips. While the stopper does match the glass exactly in color and fits nicely. I believe it is a marriage as the stopper has a different number on it than does the bottle. You are purchasing both pieces. The bottle measures 8" tall(without stopper height) and the base is 3" in diameter. Nice. Unusual set here. There is no damage on these pieces. We are pleased to offer for your consideration absolutely beautiful and really rare ART DECO- ART NOUVEAU AMERICAN BRISTOL GLASS VASE- JAR from the beginning to the middle of the 20th century features opalescent white milk glass decorated with bright enameling. Gold trim and masterfully hand painted Roses& Foliage signed by the artist P. Connin. Marked on the bottom with DeLux Inc. U.S.A. as well as the Leaf& Banner Emblem attributed most likely back to the early 1920's- 1940's. The back mark commonly was added later and the original age of the vase itself could be earlier.
