The claret jug is fitted with an exceptional English hallmarked sterling silver gilt mount. The mount is heavily embellished with chased floral and scrolling leaf decoration. This impressive claret jug is ornamented with cast sterling silver gilt mask decoration to either side of the mount and the underside of the spout. The lower portion of the mount is embellished with a shaped pierced decorated border. The claret jug is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver gilt domed cover surmounted by a flame style finial. The sterling silver gilt handle is embellished with chased scrolling decoration and ornamented with a cast silver gilt mask to the lower terminal. This is a gorgeous pair of 1880's antique enameled art glass vases in triple silver plated holders. They are each marked on the bottom"Dunham& Sons Triple Plate" They are turquoise blue glass with an enameled cornucopia of flowers on each side of the vase. I have not polished the silver plate and are in as-found condition. They are a little loose and could probably use to be re-plastered into the bases. They measure about 8-1/4" tall. Pair Victorian Fluted Glass Epergne Vases w/ Ruffled Rim& Silver Plate Bases NR This listing is for a fine pair of Victorian art glass epergne fluted vases with ruffled rims and silver plate bases. They measure as a whole 7 ¾ inches or 19.6 cm high and are 3 ¾ inches or 9.5 cm in diameter at the top edge. The vases are beautiful and elegant with a round silver plate base and an impressed flower form on the tops. The bases hold the fluted glass vases with showy ruffled top rims. The glass fades from a transparent and vibrant green to the clear. The vases are in excellent condition. With only some minor wear to the silver plate patina.
