The vase is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Measurements The vase is 3 1/2" tall. The base has a 2 1/2" diameter with the rim having a 1 1/4" diameter. This is a gorgeous Loetz art glass vase referred to as"Creta Chine" The green(Creta) glass is covered with applied random threading(Chine) all having a stunning iridescence which displays a rainbow of color in greens. Pink, purple and gold. As you move the vase the colors are constantly changing hue. The vase is square in shape with pinched or indentions on each side center. The vase stands 7 1/8" tall and is 6 1/2" from side to side and 7 1/2" from corner to corner. A real beauty in great condition. No chips, dings or cracks. Not sure, top rim may have been polished down or originally had a decorative cover. Photos show detail well. This early piece of Loetz art glass dates approx. c.1905. No signature or marks. Freshly picked from an old house clean-out. I will be listing many different treasures in the future- glassware. This auction is for an antique turn of the century Bohemian art glass dish or bowl. During my research on this piece I spoke to a Bohemian art glass collector. Who believes it was made by Loetz or, not as likely, Kralik. It has a gorgeous iridescent satin smooth finish; the main color is light green with blue and pinkish-purple iridescence. It has pinched corners and a radiating striated design; the glass is relatively thick.The underside has a smoothed pontil mark, it is not signed. I can see it has three faults: A shallow bubble flake on the pontil mark underneath. A gouge with ... moreblack marks which looks original to the piece i.e. a maker's defect during the making of the piece, and light brownish staining- not sure what this is from. I lightly washed the dish and it didn't come off; maybe it's supposed to look that way? I am not a glass expert, these observations were made on my own with my research. See the last 4 photos for these issues. I don't feel that these issues detract too much from the overall look of the piece. Other than that it's in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. It measures 10 1/2 inches across and 2 1/2 inches tall. Really a beautiful piece. Egg vase has no chips on the rim and no hairline breaks on the egg vase. Diameter of the rim on the egg is 4" Two satin crystal thorn vases are applied on each side of the egg that serve as the base. Each stick thorn vase has a 1" diameter rim and the footed base is a dolphin head. Very unique! All thorns are present except for one and the rim of each vase has no visible chips. An old art deco 3 lobed art glass vase with an iridescent finish. Note the triangular shape and cut and polished top rim. No base pontil. The iridescent finish is on the cut and polished top rim. Dates to the 1920’s– 30’s and attributed to the austrian and bohemian regions of Europe. Measures a full 8 inches tall. 2 3/4 inches wide at the top, 4 3/4 inches wide at the middle and the base rim is 2 7/8 inch wide. Condition is great as there are NO cracks. Incredible Loetz Iridescent Bohemian Art Glass Vase Art Nouveau Period
Up for the auction is an incredible antique Loetz art glass vase from the beginning of 20th century. Art Nouveau( Arts and Crafts) period. As one of the eBay members told me it can be by Fritz Heckert as well(ca. 1902) The vase has a baluster shape and made in green color with a beautiful iridescence in"oil on water" pattern(pics. 1-7) When the light hits the surface it shines with silver hues at the base and changing its iridescence to blue-purple towards the top(pics. 8-12) The vase is unmarked. Whether Loetz or Heckert it is an outstanding piece of art glass from the turn of 20th century. In an excellent condition with a couple of surface bubbles as shown on pics. 9 and 12. 12" tall. Antique Loetz Austrian Pearl Iridescent Art Glass Vase. A beautiful little piece of Loetz early 20th Century Art Nouveaux glass with a ground pontil. Has a dazzling pearl-goldish iridescent glow as a variety of pinks. Purples, greens, and copper-tones come together. Inside vase exhibits the same luminous glow as on the outside. Measures approximately 4" tall and 4" wide. The vase has various dimples which were created during production. There is a very small black spot that is original to this piece. Embedded into the finish. Very nice polished ground pontil on bottom. Overall. This 4" vase is in very nice original condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, flea bites, or slivers.
