It is a wonderful antique Bristol vase. Hand blown with open pontil on the bottom. This one is white with an amazing satin finish. It is hand decorated with leaf scroll ribbon flower flourish that is typical of the victorian era. The colors are gold blue and pink with black trim. It measures about 11” tall x 4” at the widest area. It is in very good condition. There is a couple areas in the trim where the gold as either skipped or worn. Very slight. And the only“issue” I see is that there is a stain on the inside at the base. I think some plant matter got in there decades ago and is encrusted and nearly impossible to reach. We couldn’t get it out because the pedestal base is so narrow. This is a Spectacular Display Piece with Ground Pontil Mark and is lovely hand painted floral design on a white background and a wonderful satin feel to the glass. If you hold the vase up to light you can see through it. There are lots of tiny bubbles in the vase which gives it character and pontil mark on bottom which is original to the vase and caused during the cooling down process. It does look like there may have been a repair to the vase at top within the ruffles. It is hard to see as someone must have tried to cover it up so you have to look very closely. Presenting a very colorful and unique Bristol Apothecary Style hand painted vase. Piece is app. 7 1/2" tall and 3" across bottom. Colors include orange.Brown,various shades of green, and yellow on the white glass. The top and neck of the vase are a slightly different color of white, I assume from the blowing process. I found this at an estate sale and was told it was Bristol. It’s a beautiful hand blown vase that I believe is from the Victorian era. There are hand painted flowers on front of vase that I have examined and don’t see any paint loss.There is a rough pontil on the bottom. I could not find any chips. Cracks or repairs. Antique Bristol Vase Hand Painted Floral Pattern Mouth Blown Frosted Satin Glass
This is a very rare hard to find beautiful Bristol vase. Its just under 11.25 inches tall and about 3.25 inches wide. I believe this to be from around the 1880's. There is a pontil mark on the bottom confirming be hand blown. The flower scene is mainly intact and quite nicely done. This as with all hand blown items do have small inclusions. Air bubbles, glass strings and dimples. This mainly has bubbles but there are some that are very close to surface and possibly the small flea bit on lip was due to this. As stated above, is in Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The design however, really does not show like it once did. This seems to have been made with tiny glass beads, almost like sand, but glass. There has been what seems to be a significant portion that has rubbed off, but I don't know what the original design looked like in the beginning. A exquisitely delicate vase with cranberry ruffled rim and floral glass beadwork decorating the front. In excellent condition. This measures 5 1/2" tall and 4" diameter at its widest. Cased red and an opaline/clambroth glass with tight ruffled rim. This may be by Stevens and Williams. But I do not know for certain. Believed to be about 140 yrs old.
