You are viewing a PAIR(2) ANTIQUE BLUE GLASS BRISTOL HAND PAINTED VASES with RUFFLED RIMS which are HAND BLOWN and measure 7 1/2" tall. They are in very good vintage condition. NO CRACKS. There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. It is a streak of brown paint either in the blue glass or on top of the blue glass, probably on top. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Please view my other auctions and thanks for looking! Up for your consideration is a Pair( 2) of Antique Victorian Bristol Glass Vases. They are hand blown and hand painted and have the pontil scars. The flowers and leaves are enamel hand painted and they have gold gilt lines attaching the flowers. They are tall and measure 11 1/4" tall and the base is 4 1/4" in diameter. These incredible designed pair of vases are made in England.The enamel hand painted floral flowers are rust. Gold, green, gray, white and gold gilt. Condition: Nice vintage condition as pictured. There is some residue along the top of both pieces. These probably had a metal gilded flourish on the top which was quite common on this type of vase. Here we have a pair of stunning clam broth Bristol Glass vases with a raised hand painted I would call it a Snowflake design in white and gold.There are in very good condition.Having no cracks, chips or breaks,some shelf wear and dust inside and gold around ruffled top is almost gone. They measure approx 8-1/2" tall and approximately 3-1/2” across the ruffled top. These vases are extremely light weight and fragile. This type of glass was made in the latter part of the nineteenth or early twentieth century. Up for auction are these 2 beautiful clam broth? frosted white mantel vases with gold accents and hand painted flowers and designs. One is a tiny bit taller than the other. But not noticeable unless they are right next to each other. The taller one measures approx. 10-1/2" high x 3-3/8" across the bottom and the other one is 10-1/8" high x 3-3/8" across the bottom. One vase is in perfect and excellent condition but the other. Even though it does not show, has a crack at the bottom around the base. The cracks are not to the point that would get worse. Nor do they look like they are rough or very noticeable and one would have to look very carefully to notice them. We tried to show this detail in our pictures. Each measures 9” tall and 3-1/4” in diameter at the base. They are hand blown with pontil scars on the bottom of each. They have flower and leaf decorations in colors of green. Red, cobalt blue, blue and white with gilt enameling. The rims, edges of pedestal and foot have a gilt highlight. When held to the light the glass shows a lot of fire. They are unmarked. One of the vases has an age split on one side near the bottom as you can see in the picture below and it appears to have been there a while. The vase won’t hold water. This pair of vases could also be used as candle sticks. They have nice pontils on the bottoms. And are decorated with handpainted beads and slashes in pink and lavender. Each one stands 6 3/4" tall. With a top diameter of 2 1/8" Though they are painted with the same design, only one of them is trimmed at the top lip with a thin lavendar band. This band is repeated, again, only on the one piece. The other one just has the beads, drips and looping design around the middle of the body. They are a very close match to the pair of mantle lustres that I am also listing. Up for auction we have an ANTIQUE MATCHED PAIR OF VICTORIAN ERA BRISTOL GLASS MANTLE VASES- 1850-1899. They measure 11" tall. 3" across base and 4" at widest point. Both are in need of a good cleaning which we will leave up to the new owner. They are hand blown with rough open pontils. They have beautiful enamel hand decorated floral designs in perfect condition. Most of the gold trim is intact[I'd say about 98% there is light wear around one of the ruffled tops] They are scalloped, ruffled tops with pedastal bases. You are buying a pair of Bristol Glass vases made in England. There is no maker's mark on either piece. The vases are a swirled caramel latte color. It is very evident in one of the photos of the bottom. They feature stylized birds and berries or flowers. Guesses here range from Sparrows to Kookaburra on the birds. Thistles, berry and clover for the mauve colored part of the foliage. The birds are white and brown with some gold highlights, the foliage is all the colors of Autumn- orange, gold, brown, reds and several shades of green. The foot of each is dark brown, that may have traces of gold trim. The tops also have gold trim. I would love any help you can give in describing them better! The soda can is just for demonstrating size and is not included. They measure about 5" across at the top. 3 3/4" across on the foot and stands ... moreabout 9 3/4" tall. The silver guild is pretty much intact. The enamel paint is in great condition. One vase is about 1/8 inch shorter than the other. Also the subject matter is not exactly the same. Needs a light cleaning but. I will let you do that. Pair of Victorian Bristol Hand Painted Floral Blown Glass Bud Vases Ruffled Edge
Pair of Blown Glass mantel vases with hand painted pink flowers with yellow centers. At one time. They both had gold around the ruffled edges and around the base. Most of it has worn off although one vase has the gold line at the base. The glass on one is a little thicker than the other but they are both a milky opalescent with blue tints. The picture of the pontil scars makes the rim look really turquoise colored but the vases aren't that dark. The other pictures show the true coloring much better. The thinner glass one is more transparent.The thinner one also has wider ruffles than the thicker glass vase. Both are in excellent condition. This is a magnificent pair of Victoria era bristol glass hand painted. With a burst of planted LILIES paired with planted DAISIES. Against a scenic mountainous background completely encircling the base of these 11-3/4" tall x 6" works of art. Each vase has a very distinctive form that is shaped by the 4-1/4" diameter circular base that evolves upward into an oblong shaped rim that measures 6" by 4-1/4" This unique shape provides a flatter surface more conducive to painting. This pair is in'fabulous' near mint vintage victorian condition! Fantastic birds hand painted on Bristol glass vases! Each antique vase is 9 and 1/2 inches tall and in very good condition with no cracks. No chips except very tiny edge nicks(two or three) on rims. They are not distracting and merely noted for care in description. They are fabulous antiques. Very clean, very colorful! Some minor areas of paint loss but the birds are intact and vibrant!
