Vintage Cranberry Hand Painted (Gold) Bud Vase with clear feet - Excellent Cond
The style of the hand painted gold filigree and the minor inclusions/imperfections in the glass indicate(to me) that this is a very old bud vase. I have no clue as to the maker but I suspect it may be British. The front is painted more elaborately than the sides and the back is unpainted. I try to include a photo from each side. All the way around, top and bottom so nothing is hidden from your view. If there is a view or closeup you would like to see please ask and I will try to provide it. The condition is excellent for its age with only one very small chip to the rim. see photo) There are also several very tiny fleabites to the rim which are common to a vase with the flat ground top edge. There is some loss to the gold around the top and on the lower portion of the sides where it was likely handled more. There is an inclusion of white glass ... morein the middle of the back. Another flaw typically found in old glass. It is interesting to note that the four square feet are clear. All sales are final. No returns, so be sure to ask any questions before you bid/buy. These Art Glass vases are incredible. The inside layer is white glass. The next layer is a red and white spatter glass and the outside layer is clear glass. There are controlled bubbles between the first and third layers which are a really interesting affect. And then, the vase is machine threaded on the main body of the vase. Spectacular. Gorgeous Bohemian Czech Art Glass Pitcher Jug Green Luster Iridescent Finish
Stunning Bohemian/ Czech Art Glass Pitcher. Jug Displaying Iridescent Mirror Luster Finish& Applied Iridescent Handle. This pitcher is really beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. The first 8 photos display the color of the pitcher/jug in it's truest form. The photos 9 thru 12 a bit bluish as were taken in a darker room. The pitcher is not this blue. I would discribe it as avacado green. But the iridescent luster finish brings out a rainbow of colors to the glass. The interior of the pitcher/ jug has luster iridescent finish as well. It has an applied handle with iridescent opalescence. Notice how the applied handle is waffle pressed at the base. The base/ bottom is rather unusual as there is no pontil mark but certain is was blown from the bottom. I am attributing the pitcher to being Czechoslovakian/ Austrian, possibly a Marie ... moreKirschner or Powolny piece. There are no marks. Other opinions are certainly welcome. Here for bid is a victorian vaseline opaline& cranberry footed vase. The exact age& maker are unknown. This very pretty vase stands approx 4 3/4" tall and is approx 3 1/2" wide. This is a hand blown piece with a semi rough pontail mark. When exposed to a blacklight the feet are very UV light reactive& will glow a bright neon green color. The rest of the vase does not glow nor react to UV light. There is 1 small issue. On the rim there is a small flat sliver chip. Antique Victorian Cranberry & Vaseline Glass Epergne Vase 1890
Beautiful antique epergne dating to the 1890's. Gorgeous combination of cranberry and vaseline glass. The flutes have a stem design with extended pointed detailing and opalescent rims. The base has a fluted opalescent rim. The cranberry baskets have an intricate ribbing design and can swivel in their base. All hand blown glass. The epergne measures 14" high and 9" in diameter across the base. Selling in"as is" condition. The epergne includes three flutes. Two baskets and centrepiece all in very good condition. As is" The centre flute is missing and the third cranberry basket has its stem broken off. I will include it in case it can be repaired, otherwise the brass hardware can be removed and used to replace the basket. There are a couple of tiny imperfections in the tiny ribbing section on one basket which would ... morehave occured at manufacture not noticeable, see close up photo. Up for sale is a beautiful Vintage 1880s Victorian style vase. It is a blue Bohemian satin glass vase that measures 11" tall by 4 1/4" wide by just over 4 1/4" across the base. it has wear to all sides on the hand painting designs. And there is a small pin hole on the bottom front right corner as scene in the pictures. This is a beautiful vase that is worth restoring, some one who is a good artist with a brush could touch up the art and gold work, as for the pin hole it could have a drop of hot glass added or perhaps some super glue. this vase is sold as is. Antique Pedestal Vase-White & Gold w/Cranberry Glass Foot, Collar & Design
This thin and delicate satinized white pedestal glass vase has a cranberry glass foot and collar showing beautiful gold iridescence. It features a large stem-and-leaf emblem done in cranberry and gold on one side and a much smaller emblem in the same colors on the other side. I am unsure of its age but it looks Victorian or early 1900s to me. It stands 11 1/2" high and is nearly 3 1/2" across at the top. It is in very good condition. With no chips, cracks or scratches. The gold trim shows some wear and there is what looks like a manufacturing flaw. A very small(less than 1/8" in diameter) bump" in the glass to the lower-right of the large emblem, which extends through the vase and can be seen on the inside as well. Two small chips on edge(see pic) I cannot see a single crack anywhere(not even a hairline crack) But when I fill it with water it leaves a faint ring of water after some time has passed. Victorian Art Glass Ruffled Rim Vase w/Applied Decoration!
A wonderful old Victorian cased glass vase. This interesting vase has a mauve interior and white exterior with some type of applied decoration on the front. The decorations almost look like beading. The ruffled rim looks to have had some type of accent paint around the edges which is now mostly worn away. This vase stands about 5 ½” tall at the highest point. Condition: This vase has no chips. Flakes, cracks, hairlines or repairs. As stated above the only issue is some wear to the decoration. It looks wonderful on display! And has an enamel floral and gold gild handpainted design around its perimeter. The compote stands 5-1/4" high with the tightly ruffled/ crimped rim measuring 5-5/8" across. It is free of any chips. Cracks or flakes. There was a band of gold around the ruffled rim that shows nearly 100% loss. UNIQUE MANTLE VASES Two hand painted antique portrait mantle vases are for auction. One seems to be in perfect condition while the other has some repair. My mother always told me that these were very old. She would tell me many of her other collections were old but she stressed these with VERY old. I am NOT a collector as my mother was. Antique English Victorian Pink Cased Glass Bristol Enamel Daffodil Vase - No.'d
If I called this lovely color deep burmese pink it would be more accurate. But I'd open myself up for a lot of trouble! Rather, it is a beautiful mauve which cases hand blown milk glass. The ornate enamel painting depicts daffodils* a favorite subject of the Victorians. The condition is just terrific! Free from all blemishes great and small. There is excrutiatingly minor paint loss- a tad of gilding on the foot ring(see photo#11) and a bit of accent gilding. The rest of the enamel is very very strong and free from chips. The number"13" is hand painted on the underside of the foot. But I've yet to see any of it's relatives 1 thru 12. I've seen similar vases, but the neck opening is peculiarly small- making this vase unusual. It's tall enough to hold one long stem, perhaps a daffodil or iris from your garden? Some ... moremight argue this flower is an iris because it's partially blue. Incredible Quezal Pulpit Vase - Marked 988 S - Early Piece
This is one awesome piece of glass. Founded in 1902 by a former Tiffany artist. Quezal has been compared to some of best including Louis Comfort Tiffany and Frederick Carder. The piece measures 4" tall and 2'wide at the top, it has a great feel to it and is very elegant. The bottle is clearly marked Quezal 988 with an S in the center, my pics of that aren't perfect. Antique Cambridge Clear Glass Oval Flower Frog 13 Holes Pat'd April 11. 1916 This is a beautiful antique flower frog from the late teens or early 20's. It measures just over 5-1/2" long by 3" wide by 3" tall. It has 3 very small feet on the bottom(see last picture) It is in excellent condition: it seems there is one tiny flea bite at the rim. And there is some creasing from the manufacturing process. If you look closely at the last picture you can see a little of the"Pat'd April 11, 1916" raised letters. The third picture is the top of the frog, and the fourth picture is looking at the bottom. One of the most prolific producers of glass flower frogs in the U.S. was Cambridge Glass Co. Located in Cambridge, Ohio. Any round frog that says"PAT'D April 11, 1916" on the side is Cambridge. Some ... moreof the Cambridge round glass frogs have"Pat. The coloring is more light blue at the top and gradually changes to light yellow at the bottom. I believe the harware to the base and rim is brass. There is expected wear to the metal with a few light dents but nothing distracting. I has been wiped down with soft cloth and water but you may want to do further cleaning and shining. As I look at the brass feet and hardware I think of a Czech/Bohemian art glass common in the late 1800's. However. As I have had it on display, I have had comments that the paintings are similar to Mt Washington. By the way, the enamel paintings are very intact and still with lots of color. Looking closely you will even see some of the fine gold accents ... moreremaining. All the hardware, top& bottom, is secure. No chips, cracks or repairs. There is only very light surface wear in the form of rubs or light brushing marks. I really don't know if some of this just part of the painted design or not. There are no scratches or damage to the glass. It is 5 7/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches across at the widest part.
