It is made of quartered oak with an antique oak finish and brass hardware. ... moreThe gold"Globe" stenciling still remains on the top of the unit. The dimentions are 18' deep. 17.5 wide and 31.5' tall. It is fully functional and the file cabinet unit and the card catalog drawers work as intended with the original hardware remaining. Condition: Good original condition with the usual age related scratches and blemishes to the finish. There is dark staining and a little rippling to the veneer on the top. Most of the finish is definately originial. But I'm really not sure if the sides of the file cabinet unit have been refinished at some point. They have the same type of wear as the rest of the unit, but are noticibly lighter than the patina on the rest of the pieces. The brass side bands have oxidation on parts of them. Shipping: Good news.I have all the packing materials and therefore will not charge a wrapping fee. Bad news.this is a heavy piece. About 60 lbs all packaged up so will be expensive to ship. Never had another ... morelike it. Excellent cosmically and both doors operate perfectly. It measures approximately 41-1/2” high, 34” wide and 11” deep. The shelves measure 14” high and 12” high inside, so this is large for a 2-shelf. According to the labels, they are “Pattern 813” and “Pattern 811”. Both are also marked “Grade 299”. It has a replacement base that’s a great match and is better constructed than what it would’ve come with. Local pickup only due to size and how fragile these are, sorry.
