Each door has a solid Pine core with 1/16" Birch Veneers. There are 24 glass lites. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are thicker and provide strength and stability to the door. Although the doors were installed inside the house as interior doors. They could still be used as entry doors. Hardware: Except for 1 flushbolt. Mortise lock, and strike plate, these doors are not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. The doors are made of solid wood and have 4 raised panels on each side. Although these are 2 single doors, they are identical in design. Came from the same beautiful home(see photo) they have opposite swings(one swings to the right and the other to the left) and could be easily converted into a pair. We could plug the lockset holes on one of the doors for $40 and we could make an astragal(stop molding; the long, wide vertical molding, which overhangs on the inner edges of one of the doors and covers the gap where the 2 doors meet) for $25- $50. Offered is a lot of 4 window frames. Or two matching pairs. Windows came from a home built in 1901. Pick up only- Seattle area near Space Needle or can deliver for mileage fee of $50.00 within 25 mile radius of Space Needle. Ferry tolls additional if needed. Payment required prior to pick up or delivery. One pair of the window frames are 3/4 inch thick and each frame has two panels of glass. All sections of glass in both panels is old wavy glass and the glass appears perfect with no cracks nor starts of them in any of the 4 panels. Few areas could use update on putty. This 3/4 inch thick pair is 47 1/8 inches tall by 25 1/8 inches wide. The glass area-top sections are 18 by 20 3/4 inch approx. and the lower sections are 22 by 20 3/4 inch approx. Original latches(matching) on both frames and hinge portions. The other similar but not identical ... moreone pair is 1 inch thick and one frame is missing its glass. Both frames measure 28 3/4 inch wide by 45 1/4 inch tall by 1 inch thick frame. The glass area is approx. 24 inches by 40 inches. Identical original latches and portions of the hinges are on the frames. The frame with the original wavy glass. Needs putty and I have secured the getting loose glass into the frame to avoid breakage with a nail& cardboard you will see in the photo. There are no cracks, nor starts of them, evident on the glass in this panel. The frame with the missing glass has a matching latch, is same size, and is included because of this and maybe useful. One area of the wood frame wiggles abit and may need reinforcements. All windows have been stored indoors and in a dry environment for many years. I see no rot or wood deterioration. This piece has great patina. The veneer has bubbled and chipped in a couple of spots but its hardly noticeable. The over all condition of this piece is excellent for its age. It is a very old antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact date it was made or who the maker is. The base measures 39 inches tall, 53 inches side to side and 23 inches front to back. It weighs 75 pounds. The top measures 34 ½ inches tall, 49 1/8 inches side to side and 17 1/8 inches front to back. It weighs 97 pounds. Amazing mahogany cabinet doors w/ pressed wood panels and crotched walnut veneer
Up for Auction are three Amazing mahogany& walnut cabinet doors. Two doors have a center panel that is antique pressed(I believe walnut) wood with crotched book matched walnut veneer panels above and below. The third door has three panels of crotch book matched walnut veneer panels. The doors are constructed of mahogany(spanish cedar) with walnut trim. The backing is a smooth plywood cabinet grade. These doors are a custom design incorporating salvaged antique materials. Reclaimed and new wood from Whitmer Design Studio. These doors have never been used and are new although they incorporated antiques materials in the design. They have not been finished- except for the antique panel that was kept in its found state. The two antique paneled doors are prepped for SOSS 216E invisible hinges- see pictures. This auction does include 2 pairs ... moreof the SOSS hinges to mount(2) doors. The center door is prepped for 2" x3" hinges- these hinges are not included. Please ask questions, I do not take returns. Then there is 2 doors under the display doors on each side for under display which is completely closed in. There is a metal bar across the display doors so you can lock it. Very nice vintage wood jewelry box in very good condition. It is apx 9 3/4" tall. 8" wide and almost 5 1/2" deep. It has 3 doors on the top behind the mesh doors and 1 larger drawer on the bottom. It is musical and plays when the bottom drawer is opened. It has no cracks or scratches and the drawers are lined with a gold color velveteen. They velveteen has a few minor spots, which I have highlighted with a flash photo, but they are not nearly as noticable without the flash photo. This is a gorgeous corner cupboard that measures 78" X 52" The glass in the two upper doors is wavy which attests to its age. The finish is smooth and there are no defects anywhere. The hardware is original. There are two shelves in the upper door area and one in the lower door area. The cupboard is part of my parents' estate. They always prized this piece after years of being antique collectors and dealers. Dad lit the interior with mini lights to highlight his display of historical china. Vintage Wood Jewelry Box Lrg w/ 3 Glass Doors & Lrg Drawer - Fold Out Portions
This jewelry box is around 30 years old; I bought this for my Mom many years ago! The only thing I really see to report about this so far as anomolies is the padded area for rings has spots on the liner. And I have no idea why; but I wonder if it has to do with the foam underneath because the liner fabric throughout the rest of the box has not done this. Perhaps the foam is constructed with oils that have come up and caused it with age? I don't know what kind of wood this is. But I've always found it unique. it is lighter color tannish and has a very pronounced wood grain that almost gives a spotted appearance. The two windows on the sides have flowers etched into them; the center one is plain. The liner color is a neutral beige and pretty well depicted in the photos. I love the way this one is made because the two areas of use behind ... morethe glass doors are very functional! They both pivot around to the front so that you can easily reach what you want without digging back into the box- it rotates them totally to the front. And that includes the ring area and necklace spinners. Each spinner has 8 different hooks, so even if you only hung 1 necklace per hook, that is 16 you can have suspended all of the time. There is a little wood tub/hollow tray area at the bottom of the two swing-out portions. There are mirrors 1/2 way down the back of both of those portions. I mentioned the ring area on one of the swing-outs; the other side has the grooves for earrings(see photos) Stands 15" tall. 12.75" long, and 6" wide. Shipping will be via Fed Ex Home. Length is 10 3/4" and width is 4 3*4" Two etched glass doors on each side with mirrored backs and necklace carousels. Four drawers down the center are all open storage. Mirrored hindged lid with ring storage and open compartments. There are a couple of minor small dings, but overall a very nice box. I would say the finish is a light oak or maple tone. Each door is made of either pine or Douglas Fir, and has a Victorian style, 4 raised panels arrangement. Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However. W e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store. And tons more in our physical store.
