The drawers are great handles are as well. There are legs that go on the cabinet to keep it about 20" off the ground. They attach with strong plates and came with the cabinet. VERY BIG AND NICE cabinet Outer dimensions- 55 1/4" X 45 3/8 X 47" tall- WITHOUT LEGS are about 20" tall and can be used or not. Drawers- 51 1/2" X 41" X 2 1/2 Deep When it was first shipped it was bent on the front bottom support. As a result the bottom drawer was bent as well. The drawer was bent inside on its flat portion and was pushed up. The drawer has since been fixed and slides as it should. It is flat and holds files just as it should. There are a couple of minor dents in it that can be seen in the pictures. There are a couple of scratches from fixing the bottom support and the handle but they still look good and. Are very strong, nothing was ever broken! The label is worn off mostly(see pictures) Last picture shows the original bend and you can see that it was an easy fix. We care about our items and DO NOT just beat things back! This is a great cabinet and will last a very long time! It will be be shipped freight. THe item can go to a business with dock or forklift. RARE ANTIQUE BRASS OLD TOWN OAR LOCKS FOR CANOES & BOATS NICE PATINA
These oar locks came off of a vintage Old Town Boat years ago. They have been sitting on a shelf in the barn for a quite a while and it’s time for them to go down the river. They are in great shape except for screw holes; some idiot opened them up for to be able to use bigger screws. The base plates measure approximately 1 ¾ inches by 4 7/8 inches. This set has a great patina and were manufactured when quality mattered. Each pair of oar locks were hand lapped in to make them operate smoothly. ANTIQUE BRASS & WOOD SPRAYER GADGET FOR WATERING PLANTS, MADE BY DEAKINS, PHILA
We have an interesting gadget or device that we have analyzed to determine its purpose as it is not labeled with a name to let us in on its secrets! We have concluded that it is a watering device for spraying water up so that hanging plants can be watered. The photographs show the device disassembled into its several parts and then all together. One photo shows the nozzle end attached to one of the side rings. At one end there is a turned wooden handle that can be pulled in and out. The brass rod inside the brass cylinder moves with the motion of the handle and has a worn rubber coating or ring on the larger part of the end nearest the nozzle end to create a better seal so that water can be pulled into the cylinder. The spraying nozzle end has a central larger diameter hole which is surrounded by tiny holes. When the nozzle end is put into ... morea container of water and the handle is pulled out. Water is pulled in. Then the device is raised and aimed at where you want the water to go. The handle is pushed back in and a spray of water emerges. The rubber ring inside is worn so that it is not as tight as it originally would have been when it was first made so it doesn't hold the water perfectly inside before spraying it out. There are two threaded rings on the sides which we have analyzed as to their purpose. The threaded spraying head or nozzle is the same diameter as the side rings and fits on the rings. We are theorizing that the side rings were for attaching and storing different styles of spraying nozzles. Our piece only has the one spraying nozzle head that is attached on one end but I photographed that same head attached to a side ring so that viewers can see what I mean about how it will attach to the side. The maker's mark is in raised print as shown in the accompanying photograph. It reads. Robt. T. Deaken& Co. No. 5, Makers. In its shortest position with the handle pushed all the way in. An EDWARDIAN or VICTORIAN bell shaped BRASS READING LIGHT which pivots on a solid brass arm support bracket. Not sure where it was used. Car, railway carriage or maritime. There is an electrical cable entrance grommet which can be seen in the scans. The bell'handle' rotates. The light requires a screw in bulb and is not electrically tested. The support bracket is 5 inches long. The bell is 3 inches in length with a 2.1 inch diameter. The reflector and glass are both in good order. The glass assembly unscrews to allow access to the bell chamber. I cannot see any manufacturer marks. The light is heavy. I am happy to answer any questions. Antique Mid Victorian period circa 1860's very rare wall mounting gas cigarette/cigar lighter featured and Mr.Punch from the classic Duo'Punch& judy' the item would be gas mains powered and is fitted to the reverse with a threaded socket fitment that would be installed with a purpose built mount from a gas mains pipe.The flame for the lighter would exit from the cigar in Mr.Punches mouth and the cigar would be perpetually lit until turned off likely via a stop lever close by, punch looks out with arms folded from a classic puppet ten with curtains behind him,above punch is a slate tiled roof,the frame to the puppet house is nicely decorated with scrolled work and a central set fleur-dy-lis decoration,the top of the chimney stack to the roof of Punches house is drilled with a hole which would have served so as to enable one ... moreto mount the item to a wall as required,a very rare collectable piece and in very good condition throughout,could be restored back to use with some know how and effort,perhaps powered from a modern butane tank or similar, the item measures 16.5 cm x 9 cm x 5 cm in dimension, the brass has a gorgeous patina,no need to clean, weight: 457 grammes Please Note that most of our auctions end and start on sundays.It is our aim to get your goods dispatched to you as quickly as possible and as such all items paid for before 12pm on the day after auction end will be guaranteed for dispatch on Tuesday morning, any items paid for after this period and before thursday morning 10am will be dispatched friday morning,all other items will be sent with the following weeks postal runs depending on payment date.
