This may very well be the MOST GORGEOUS of ALL Newel Post Tops ever offered on Ebay! They are absolutely STUNNING. And are very heavily made and beautifully carved from the Victorian era. Super old, yet maintain their original patina and are in superb original condition! They measure 10" square at their widest points, 12" tall, and at their bases are 7 3/4" wide. If someone took the bottom two layers of trim off, the base bottom would measure 6" square at the smallest, lowest point.

VINTAGE TEN STEP CAST IRON SPIRAL STAIRCASE WITH WOOD TREADS. C. EARLY 20th CENTURY This beautiful spiral staircase is American and dates to the early 20th century. Or possibly earlier. It most likely came from a boat or a building where space was at a premium and access between level/floors had to be kept to a minimum. The staircase os made of cast iron and has ten steps with wood treads. In addition to the center pole, there are ten vertical supports each with a gilt metal ball finial. The staircase measures overall 85-1/2"h with a maximum diameter of 32-1/4" Each step measures 16-1/4"w with an outside depth of 9-1/4" tapering to an inside depth of 1-1/8" The piece can still be used for its originally intended purpose. Description This is an exceptional staircase that was salvaged from a Victorian Mansion in Clarion. PA. We have pretty much everything. Two newel posts. Railings, barley twist balusters, moldings, landings, and paneling. As you walked in the front door. The staircase was just ahead. You take three steps to the first landing. Turn right and up two steps to the second landing. Turn right and up 13 steps to the second floor. Turn right to hallway railing that is 153 inches long. Handrail going up 13 steps is 129 long. Landing 1 is 41.25 long by 40.25 wide. Landing 2 is 39.75 by 39.25. The steps are just over 7 inches high by 11.25 deep. My guy calls this a 7-10 rise. The first floor newel post is 85 inches tall with a paneled shaft. Carved cap and turned finial. The second floor newel is 51.25 inches from the top to the floor. It has carvings ... moreat the top and great ornate moldings and a big finial on the first floor ceiling. This newel post is nailed into the joist and goes through to the first floor ceiling. Antique French Hand Forged Wrought Iron Curved Staircase This French Hand Forged Wrought Iron Curved Staircase was made in France and bought in Paris. It was made about 1850- 1880. There is a French walnut handrail on the top of the wrought iron. There are no steps with the staircase. Just the railing. I think the steps were marble, I can see some marble flecks on some of the base of the staircase. Description: 6- Curved iron sections about 10' 6" long, with 6- 18" panels in each curved section. The leaves in each panel were gold leafed. 2- Landings with French period design, the 5 leaves in the panel were gold leafed. Each landing is 31" wide and 36" tall. 4- Straight pieces 2- Straight sections about 12' long, there are 6- 18" panels and 1- 30" Period French design panel. 1- Straight section about 9' ... more5" long with 6- 18" panels. 1- Straight section about 7' 8" long with 3- 18" panels and 1- 30" period French design panel. 1- Neural Post 3' tall with circling French walnut handrail. The French walnut handrail is 3 ¼” wide and 2 ¾” tall, a beautiful design to the handrail. Over 110’ of wrought iron and handrail. I believe this came out of about a 3 story building and I think it will all tie together. If a person wanted to, they could make 3 large curved staircases out of this or 5 to 6 small curved staircases. The workmanship is outstanding in the hand forged wrought iron. This is rare to find a complete curved stair case of this size. All I see on the internet are pieces of staircases. The staircase will have to be picked up. It is too much to ship; a small truck could easily move it. The starting bid figures out to $ 2,500.00 per section including handrail. Steel Spiral Staircase- Originally from the Delaware Art Museum
This Spiral Stairs was removed from the Delaware Art Museum Renovation in 2002. It was originally installed by Turner Construction Co. as part of the new construction in 1902. This is not what you would purchase today from a local Manufacturer. The stairs have a 12 foot rise from floor to landing. All the treads are cast steel. Not bent diamond plate. I set part of the stairs up in the yard to make sure all the parts were still there, and so that anyone who is interested could see the craftsmanship that went into it's original design.
