The old pieces of Bakelite were saved and are still in nice condition. This piece measures 5 1/2" long X 1" wide on one end and 3/4" on the other end-it is tapered so one end is wider than the other; it is an orangish-carmel color and in a sort of 4-pointed. Star shape. This is an old Nae number 148 barn pulley. The wooded pulley is 6 inches across and the total length is 14 inches. It still has the old red primitive paint on it. I washed it and cleaned it up and if the buyer would like I could put a clear coat finish on it. But I think it might darken it and it would have a shiny finish. This pulley is a wonderful old primitive and it still works. There is a crack in the pulley, but it doesn't affect how it works. Shipping is $13.99.

For sale is a one of a kind piece you probably won't have the chance to buy again. This piece is completely handmade/ forged and weighs about 13-14lbs. The iron chains have hammered pins at the bottom to hold the hooks. And at the cast iron top to hold them in place. The hooks were obviously hand made as well. And the cast iron top looks to be hand made. When looking at the top there is a small hole where this piece could potentially be wired up to be a lamp. This amazing piece could also just work as art. Or be used to lift pallets or something. This a huge old steam boiler. I see patent dates of 1888 and 1911 on it. It is really cool looking as a sort of'steampunk artifact' Maybe someone would want to put it in a restaurant or lobby as a retro installation. It is roughly 5'8" tall. 3 feet wide, 4 feet deep. It's located in the basement of an old building in Charleston. SC. It is slated for removal by a demolition crew in the next month or so. They plan to sell it for scrap. I said I would try and find someone who wants to preserve it. It will be very hard to move, so if you want it you'll have to be prepared to remove it yourself and/or compensate the demo company for it's scrap value. To be clear. I do not own this.
