There are also 3 slightly ... morelarger pavers from the same site included. These beautiful antique bricks have some pinks. Reds, orange and purples in the clay they made them with that still show nicely. North central Piedmont NC made brick, possibly hand made, no stamped name. These brick would make great accent pavers to a walkway or landscape project with other masonry products. They are approx. 8"x4"x2.5" and weigh about 5 lbs. each. The 4x8 surfaces are clean and I removed almost all the mortar also. Some of the tar from the flashing still shows on some of the 2.5x8 sides and white paint, not really visible in a paver application. They are on a small pallet and ready to go. The last picture shows the additional bricks I added to the side of the pallet. Free local pick up or making other shipping arrangements(try U-Ship) With the pallet they weigh approx. 390 lbs. Two 8 ft. sections wrought iron with posts. This wrought iron is from the Anthracite coal region of Pennsylvania. It is from the late 1800's and has simple ball finials. It is made of a heavier than usual wrought iron stock at 5/8 in. diam. There is one post at the end of each section. The fence has an even layer of rust that will come off easily with sandblasting. AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE "SLAVE HAND- MADE" SAVANNAH GREY 1/2 BRICK FROM SAVANNAH, GA.
You are looking at an authentic antique(early 1800's) Savannah Grey 1/2 brick which was hand made by slaves. I moved to Savannah. Ga. about 20 years ago and worked in the masonry trade for a while and became familiar with the Savannah Grey brick and it's history. In 1815 Henry McAlpin purchased the Hermitage Plantation and in 1819 he built a brick manufacturing plant in which the bricks at that time were made by hand, by slaves. They are larger than your normal brick, reddish brown in color and do not have straight crisp edges, mostly rounded and warped. Many of the old buildings and homes still standing in Savannah today were built with Savannah Greys. They are a very cool, heavy duty(this 1/2 brick weighs close to 3.5 lbs) brick and becoming harder and harder to find. This 1/2 brick measures about 5" x 4" x 3"

2 Antique Japanese Wooden Shutters Panels Doors Screens with Painted Panels
Two Antique Japanese Shutters/ Panels These shutters were part of some local Austin Estate items. Dark wood with some carved details and painted panels in the center. The lower panels have also have some drawings. A dragon on one and a horse on the other Each panel measures 39" tall x 13-3/4" wide x 1" thick Condition: These are very old. But very stable. Not wobbly or falling apart. They do have quite a bit of patina from age. There are signs of normal use and wear. They each have wooden pegs at the top and bottom that were probably what held them in place and allowed them to be opened or move. These pegs could easly be removed if you did not want them They each have a painting in the center panel The paintings each depict a woman and small child. They are outdoor scenes with foliage and one has a umbrella or canopy over her ... morehead. The center panel painting have some scratches. The panel on the left has only a very few scratches. The panel on the right(see closeup pictures) has more scratches. I don't know if the scratches were from normal use or if someone. Maybe a child scratched them. The scratches are just on the surface, they are not deep. The paintings are kind of muted so from a distance the scratches are not a big problem. I think it would be simple to touch them up, but I will leave that for the buyer to decide. Or, if you like the center panels could be removed by pulling a few nails and replaced with another image. I really like them as they are. Each of the panels has an old white sticker on the backside with a number. One of the panels has a sticker on the side that reads'Customs Permission' This item is from a non-smoking. Pet-free environment. Sometimes I list items that I find in one of the 700 boxes that are slowly being unpacked. This item. Has a rather different story. I saw a unusual looking"thing" when I was looking at an old wood lathe I had seen on Craigslist. It was old. The barn it was in was old, the man who had used the lathe was so old he had died from old age. I asked what the"thing" was, and was told it was a hay"spear.harpoon. I asked what did that do? I was then told how"back in the day" the trolley system used to store hay into, and get out of tall barns. I decided I needed to get the entire hay"system" and put it in my office. Which has a high wood beamed ceiling, much like a barn. I bought the lathe, and the double hay harpoon. Then I had to find a trolley. I know they are on Ebay, but I wanted to find the old barn ... moreand get it down myself. this is one of those things where"be careful of what you wish for. is sooo true. I found the trolley. In the old 100 year old barn, wood roof had holes in it, wood floor on the loft was rotten. But.there was the trolley, and the railing. Yep, there it was. way.way.way up there. in the dark corner looking down at me.taunting me. I drove the 50 mile trip home trying to think of a way to achieve the feat of getting at something 50 feet in the air. In a falling down barn. I began assembling my items I thought I needed. I did consider starting a small fire. a small one. and maybe the fire dept. would have a ladder truck.on the scene. and maybe. Just maybe. Antique wrought iron from prestigious New York City building! This is an extremely rare find! This antique wrought iron fence is from a renown New York City building erected in the late 1800's. The historical building still stands which was protected for over a century by this beautiful tall fence. The fence is 6 1/2 ft. tall and is all hand banded and turned the original way. The iron was well maintained with top grade protective paint. There is no rotting. Even on the bottom of the verticals. The finials are also surprisingly intact with very few, if any breaks. There are 6 posts which have ornate cast iron finials. These are used on either side of the two pairs of gates available with this lot. Each set of gates is 10 ft. wide. The posts are approximately 7 ft. tall and may need extending at the bottom depending on your installation. ... moreFour posts in this lot are for the driveway gates. There is a third set included to use with a walk way opening or gate. There is not a walkway gate included, but one can be fabricated from one of the smaller fence sections. So you are bidding on 2 panels of the same size. Panels are in very good original condition. Show minimal losses to inlay which are easy to fix for an experienced handyman, we did provided close up pictures to show all these small problems for your consideration. Panels will be sold as is. As restoration project and as an option we can offer our help to restore these panels to perfection. Particularly on masonry buildings, from the 18 and 19th centuries. They are made of cast iron and are used as tie plates serving as washers for the tie rods. ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE CAST IRON COPPER BALL-GARDEN ART 7 1/2 LBS GOTHIC
Unusual architectural salvage piece. The center is cast iron and has a copper outer layer with a gothic tulip design. This ball/sphere weighs 7 1/2 pounds and measures 4 1/2" by 4" I have no idea what this was used for. A decorative piece for the top of something.
