Antique Cast Iron Shelf Brackets Door Corners Iron Works ornate industrial vtg
I am really not sure what to call these. They might be large shelving brackets but I think they went in the corners of a large door or entry way. This auction is for the pair of them. Each one measures 21 inches by 21 inches by 31 inches across. One of them is in perfect shape the other has two cracks in the ornate section however is still solid. I thought about welding those two parts but thought I would leave it to the next owner. I was going to put them in the corners of a door way but they were just to large for that entry. rare antique US Challenge windmill pump jack water Batavia Ill Illinois farm vtg
This auction is for antique pump jack. It was made by the US Challenge Co. in Batavia. Illinois. I have the main part, the mounting plate, and the vertical piece that moved up and down. I believe I have it all but not sure on that. It is rusty but still solid. The pulley wheel moves freely and the pump goes up and down. It would make a great piece to restore. The wheel itself measures 17 inches in diameter. The main component measures approx. 32 by 13 inches by 19 inches tall, the plate 18 by 9 inches and the vertical piece measures approx. 53 inches long. It is heavy and so I have shipping for local pickup only. If you want it shipped I can work with you and take it to a shipping company that can ship it but I do not have the means to crate it and ship it myself. Here is A Dictionary of Architecture-historical. Descriptive, topogaphical, decorative, theoretical, and mechanical; alphabetically arranged, familiarly explained and adapted to the comprehension of workmen, c. c. This is written by Robert Stuart. It was published by Jones, and Co. I did not find any copyright dates. The latest date in the list of architects at the back of volume 2 is 1813. This is for volumes 1 and 2; volume 1 covers terms A-DA and volume 2 covers DA-Z. This set originally contained a third volume with the plates, so there are no pictures in the first two volumes. VOLUME 3 IS NOT INCLUDED! These measure about 8 3/4" by 5 5/8" These books are in very rough condition. The leather on the spine is mostly missing. What is left is brittle and flaking; please assume more pieces will fall off during shipping. The covers ... morehave wear. There are tears and missing pieces to the covers. The corners are bent and the cardboard is fraying. The front cover on volume 2 is mostly torn off; it is hanging on by a very tiny piece. The binding is broken on both volumes. The pages have yellowing and bends. Volume 2 has some loose pages at the back. The spine is printed upside down to the book-if the spine is rightside up the book is upside down. The covers on volume 1 are torn at the spine in several spots. The pages of the books have some small tears. The covers and spine of these books are in rough condition. Its got baskets all around it and its the best pink/blue/creams which made me love it and super cute net lace inside, however that being said this lamp has seen better days. Lots of glue over the years if you take the lamp shade off there is glue everywhere inside and lots of missing pieces. However only one basket is missing, but small pieces are missing throughout. Top rim is bent The shade inside is make-shift and doesn't sit properly. The shade falls down, also when you put the metal shade on the top piece it doesn't sit right on the harp inside, hope this makes sense. Net lace must have been added its just sewn on. Nice Piece of hand carved wood trim from a late 1800's shelf we took apart. This one Would make a PERFECT picture Frame. All the wood looks to be hand done and no 2 carvings or flowers are alike. The Piece measures 19.5 x 11.5 inches. The inner measures about 9.3 x 17 inches. The inner groove is slightly less then 1/4 inch. I can measure more dimensions par request. I am not good with my woods so I am not sure what type it is. Its very dark. The flowers looks pretty nicely done. Someone really put a lot of time into this trim. The height from ground to top of ball of entire sign is 22" Each sign is 26" long and the signs are 2 pieces of metal bonded together with a hollow inside and they measure 1 1/2" wide. This was done to prevent collapse when it was salvaged. The crack can be joined back together. All the door hardware is present. This is one of two very old ornate wood panel doors with folding privacy screens. After much debate. We determined that they were originally part of a church, perhaps modesty doors on a confessional. This is just our opinion since we have never come across something this unique. Hand carved oak leafs. Only the front is carved. Back is flush. Pegged tenons& ship lap joints leads us to believe the doors are 19th century or even earlier. They are solid and fairly heavy. Given the age. They do have several conditional issues and we'll let the photos address these issues. I consider all the issues expected honest wear. This door has a crack which is displayed in a close up photo. 18' Vtg Antique Victorian Fence Ornamental Wire Garden Art Deco Farm Gate 32"
18 Lineal Feet of Twisted Crimped Corrugated Ornamental Wire Fence 32" tall. I have cut down height from 42" to 32" +- Some of bottom tangs were heavily rusted and gnarly. Length is exactly at 18. This is fencing that was in use for 60- 80 + years. I have had it in the dry, in shed, for 20 or so. It is rusted, weathered and has some green from long gone moss. Fencing is Not crumbling or shedding piles of rust crumbs. Shipping weight 22 pounds. See pictures for detail.
