This grand arch once graced a fine estate during the late Victorian era. It favors a large central medallion type crest. Acanthus leaf with leaf and rose carved swags that are divided by bow ties. This huge piece was a focal point of a double parlor room as it separated the opening between the rooms. Very large and very heavy. Some damage is seen with minor losses to applied trim and rose blossoms. There is also fine white paint splatter, loss to a bow and an old age crack down the crest. The thickness on this piece is almost 4" Stunning and fabulous my dear. Belongs in an antebellum mansion like the one it came from. Wear is consistent with age. Well worth the price. Antique Walnut with Hand Carved Decoration from the early 1800s (multiple uses)
This beautiful antique Walnut has some splendid hand carvings in them. These two piece came off of a bed. And were thus used formerly as bed rails. They were appraised as being from the early 1800s. Anyone that works with wood or any remodeler/builder could probably come up with some creative ideas for these pretty pieces of wood. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted white. It was originally a fireplace mantel but the legs were damaged. We cut them off to make a great shelf. The top is trimmed in reel and bead and dentil moldings. It's held up by two large fluted corbels with carvings. The breast has built up moldings and small circular embellishments. It measures 54 inches wide. And 18.5 inches tall. It is 10.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. There is a chip tot he back left corner of the shelf. Description This is an antique frame work that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. It was originally in the Master Bedroom as a frame to closet. It is made of walnut and is unpainted. The legs have fluted pilasters topped with ornate corbels. The pediment across the top has Eastlake Spoon Carvings. Ornate moldings, brackets and corbels. This would make a great back bar. Bookcase, or butler's pantry. It measures 60 inches wide by 92.5 tall. The opening measures 50 by 79.25. It disassembles to load into a pick up or SUV. Overall.
