80 Sections of antique wrought iron fence, each section is eight feet long
I am listing for our local cemetery 80 sections of wrought iron fence. Each section is 8 feet long and 49" high. This is close to 640 feet of fencing. Almost all sections are in very good shape. One section is badly damaged as seen in a photo. A few sections have some damage as seen. This is a very old fence. The cemetery dates back to the late 1800's. I am not sure when this fence was installed. But it was a long time ago. We will keep this fence in place for the winning bidder to remove. Considered using it as a piece of wall art, yes it's that neat, which I might still do if it doesn't sell. This is very old, not a reproduction it's a Victorian ornate piece of wrought iron from the 1800s. The man I bought it from demo's buildings for a living. This is a more desirable wrought iron piece then the later cast iron. I believe this is a window guard rail. But it might have been a part of a balcony or porch rail or even a fence. Has the original ... morechippy pale green paint and rust. It is solid, no missing pieces or cracks. You can tell this was hand forged. Love the details of the heart like scrolls, lovely. It's 39.50" wide by 19.25" tall with"end pins" If you were to remove them width would be 35.25" and it's 1" thick. I thought of cutting it down but decided to leave it original, a beautiful piece of antique wrought Iron. This is a no reserve auction. Starts at $89.99. You decide the final price.
