RARE Original Antique Salesman Sample Lot of Ornate Tin Trim Wooden Panels Vtg Description Two Original Antique 19th Century Wooden Panels with Salesman's Samples of Tin Decorative Trim Each of these two wooden panels are 11"by-16" The front of the panels. On which the samples are attached, are painted black and back side is unpainted. One panel has six panels ranging from 1" to 6" high. The second panel has five samples ranging from 2" to 4" high. Some of the designs are relatively simple, while two of them are highly ornate. Both panels are missing samples, probably because they were not being manufactured any longer. The wood panels are in good condition and tin samples are in excellent condition, though they all have some rust. Every treasure from the past tells a unique story about times gone by. These are Antique Decorative Stamped Tin Metal Roof Panels from the late 1800s to early 1900s in Victorian style. 5 per order. They are from an historic home in Columbus GA. I have about 1000. They are all similar to the ones shown. Most have gothic arch design but some have interesting arrow design. Great for design projects. Interior decorating, art/craft projects or to tile an antique roof. Each tile is 14" x 9.5" they can be interlocked as shown in some of the pictures. The exterior is covered with sheets of pressed tin ceiling material(probably cornices) that are copper in colour(copper plated? They are hammered and are embossed with a stylized flower pattern, and are held in place by rows of very tiny nails at each end of the box. Inside is a galvanized steel liner; it is not removable. This is an original antique piece; it has not been recently cobbled together from found materials. I don’t know its age. It is in excellent condition: there are turquoise coloured spots on it which I assume are copper rust and thus only add to its value. Antique Tin Roof Tiles. The company name on them is WHEELING COP-R-LOY The company was in West Virginia and not in business any more as far as I can determine.I have 515 unused but slightly weathered tiles. Approx 206 Sq. Ft. The first photo is an old shed with these tiles.Some of the tiles have some surface rust and chipped paint exposing the tin underneath. Most of the tiles are in great shape. The second photo shows the end cap. Unfortunately I only have the one but looks fairly easy to replicate. I can ship/ get quote via ground freight. Total weight = approx. 350 lbs. packed. Very unique look. A first I thought it was Terracotta Tile. Would be great for a small shed.Covered swing, potting station, etc. To be sold as one unit.
