I just love the hand blown bulls eye lenses on this pair of carriage or early auto lamps. Note the brass face surrounding the lense and how sharp the lamps will look when polished. It looks like the lamps still retain there original paint and glass and the glass has no chips or cracks. The original burners are still present and seem to be in good condition though I have not tested them for possible leaks. Please note that one of the lamps has a crossed hammer mark just above the lense. The lamps are the same size and measure 7 inches high without the hanging ring. 5 1/4 inches deep, 4 7/8 inches wide. A first class early American Miners safety lamp from the pioneer Scranton. Pennsylvania Manufacturer James M. Everhart. This lamp is made by Everhart under the October 28, 1884 patent of Robert Mauchline of Shenandoah, PA. The patent designates a large magnifying lense that is built into the brass body. There is a reflector at the back of the fire chamber and a huge wick for a flame that would be a great boon to the coal miner or safety boss. This lamp is complete with all parts, some light denting on the dome cap and base, and the nickled reflector has wear as shown in the detailed photos. Magnifying lense is complete with no cracks, some light scratches but still great optics. Side vents are brass screen, the upper flame screen is 2 separate pieces, part brass and steel. RARE ANTIQUE GLASS BULLS EYE LANTERN w/ PUNCHED TIN LT PURPLE circa 1840-1860
RARE ANTIQUE TIN and GLASS BULLS-EYE LANTERN with LIGHT PURPLE COLOR If you are an antique bulls eye glass lover then you will like this lantern from Maine. Circa: 1840's- 1860. It measures about 11 inches high and from the widest part of the glass globe to the other about 5 inches across. It was converted a very long time ago making it possible for it to be used today electrically. There is an opening through the top finial that a wire can feed through to an existing socket under the crown. The thick glass bulls eye globe has a very slight purple color. The glass appears to be blown and has an occasional small bubble here and there. Globe top without base weighs 3 1/2 lbs. The base of the globe is uneven& set into the paste. The peaked tin flue/top is banded with a nicely New England punched star and diamond pattern called“Diamonds& ... moreStars” There are no hairline cracks on glass globe. Great shape! The tin. Ribbed and punched clover leaf design on the base cup attaches by two small posts to the bottom of the lantern. It has corroded on one side and is fragile but possibly it could be restored or even copied by a tinsmith if this were to be desired. It would have been used to set a candle on to burn and reflect light through the“bulls eyes” Used without the bottom electrically will cast more light from the lantern that is useful to us these days. The top of the handle reads"DIETZ Protector Track Walker Lantern. Patented Jan-26-00, New York, USA" It has a Dietz clear globe in it. This globe was made by Corning Nonex and is marked as such. The glass is intact and unbroken. On the bottom, front of the lantern, N.Y.C.S" is written. Where the oil goes in, Dietz, Made in United States of America" is written. The back clear bulls eye glass part of the lantern has"Dietz" written on it. There is a red glass bulls eye that can be turned so that the glow of the flame shines through to reflect that color. If only the clear glass is needed to shine, the red is moved ... moreto the side with a lever. The clear bulls eye on the rear is held on with some wire. I'm not sure if that is how it was originally. The burner is still on the inside of the lantern. Except for wiping it down, I have not cleaned the lantern at all. They all have many coats of paint, as you can see from the sides. There are holes from nails and some hardware. There are still some nails here and there. Two have nail pieces sticking out the back. The nail heads are square. These rosettes are made of wood. I don't know if it's pine or not. It's not super heavy like oak. The lot weighs just over 3 lbs. They are approximately 5 inches square, give or take 1/8 to 1/4 inch. If you need completely accurate measurements on each square let me know. This lot would be great for repurposing of some kind, beautiful just to display in a group, or to use as molding again. Antique Federal Convex Bulls Eye Cast Eagle Mirror
Nice BRASS on COPPER BULLSEYE AMERICAN EAGLE MIRROR Up for Auction 1 Convex Dome Bullseye Mirror. Metal surrounding mirrors seems to be cast copper with a brass finish. No scrathes or dings. Great patena where the brass has worn to the copper. Mirror measures approx. 12 1/2 inches high X 8 1/2 inches wide. Mirror itself is approx. 5 inches in diameter. Mirror clarity is not good. It is smokey and spotted gray but consistent with age. See photos of convex mirror for condition. Small hook for hanging is built into the casting on back. No makers marks. The mirror is a little loose and will require special packing to insure that it is not damaged during shipment. It may be best to take the mirror out for shipping. I will consult with buyer before shipping. The post office is closed for holiday on 2/18/13. I would say that this is a pre-1900 antique. Federal Bullseye mirrors made after 1900 were made of wood or cast resin. Bullseye mirrors first became popular in Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries. The style was called‘regency’ in England. And‘empire’ in France, both of which were relatively similar, and the American‘Federal’ style evolved directly from these. It varied mostly with its emphasis on patriotic symbols, such as an eagle at the top, and thirteen balls, feathers or stars around the frame to represent the thirteen original colonies to break free of the British Empire in the American Revolution from 1775-1783.

Elegant Deco era green glass pitcher circle bulls eye line pattern beveled base I do not know who made this piece but it is definitely well made and dates to the earlier half of the 1900's. Pattern is nice and has a definite Deco feel to it.The base has a sharply beveled edge as is often seen on the nicer quality vintage glass. Hopefully the pictures captured the shade of green well enough.It's just gorgeous. Overall condition is great with no chips or cracks to make note of. I have noticed a couple of fleabites to the raised areas of the design and the corners of the base. Only visible under close inspection but I prefer to make note. Stunning Antique Bowl Made by US Glass c1905 is the Bulls Eye and Star Pattern in Maiden's Blush. Which I am told is scarce! I'm Told the Bowl May be a Sugar Bowl Missing it's Cover. The Bowl Measures Approximately 5" in Diameter at the Widest Point and is 4 1/4" in Diameter at the Rim. Condition is Nearly Flawless with No Chips or Cracks. NORTHWOOD Carnival Glass BULLS EYE & LEAVES NETTED ROSES Pattern Green 9" Bowl
This listing is for a vintage antique Northwood Carnival Glass Bullseye and Leaves or Netted Roses pattern 9" ruffled bowl in Green. It is embossed with the underlined"N" in circle trademark in the middle of the interior. The pattern is on the exterior. It is in good condition with a couple tiny nicks to outer rim(see photo# 12) A couple light scratches on interior, and usual factory bubbles and straw marks. The largest straw mark is directly under the"N" in the middle, not damage. No other issues. It measures 9" in diameter, 2 1/4" tall, and 2 7/8" in diameter at base. Center diamond medallion on front and top. Body of box has a wonderful whirl and patina- satinwood veneer? Interior has two compartments with lids- lids fit only carefully. Possible not original. Wonderful old skeleton key wigth silk thread tassle included. Key turns but lock does not seem to operate. A side corner sm. piece of veneer missing and some wear along edge front seam.
