Brass or Bronze Cutler Post Office US Mail Box Door Chute w large EAGLE antique
Scarce antique Cutler Mfg. Co. Mail Chute. The box and face plate are solid brass or bronze. Overall size approximately 6 1/2" tall x 8" wide. Face plate with eagle appears to be detachable and is approximately 4 3/4" x 5 1/4" Rescued from an old high-rise building in NYC that was being demolished. Would probably shine up beautifully. Have three others. Each somewhat different, for future auctions.

For sale is a rare ca. 1890s large Antique Brass/ Bronze Post Office Mail Box Door featuring the flying spread eagle design and a key lock. The door opens and closes easily and is unlocked from its mounting bracket. Hard to find these large doors. Especially with their original mounting bracket intact and viewing glass panel all in very good + condition. There are 2 patent dates embossed on the tallest of the door: Jan 2. 1892 and Jan 1, 1893. This mail box door measures approximately 6 1/4" high x 5 1/2" wide& bracket is 1 7/8" deep. For auction is this pair of two antique US mailbox doors. Included is one large box store measuring 6 1/4 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide. The smaller door measures 5 inches high by 3 3/4 inches wide. Both doors open by the use of a combination. The small door still has the gold and red lettering on the glass window. The glass is intact on the larger door. Both of these are nice condition. 100% customer satisfaction offered. 8% sales tax in new York State. I do not have a buy it now and I did not end my auctions early.

Vtg Rear Large Flying American Eagle Brass Bronze Post Office Mail Box Door
We have for sale a Vintage Rear Large Flying American Eagle Brass Bronze Post Office Mail Box Door Bracket. It measures 11 inches in diameter and 6-1/4 inches in width. This particular one has an oak wood frame on the top. Bottom and back. The wood is split in the back. This can be removed. I don't know the combination but you can open it from a lever in the back. It has a nice raised design with the eagle clutching the arrows with his talons. It could use a little cleaning but I will let that up to the purchaser. You may like its current patina color. This auction is for a lot of assorted vintage/antique assorted brass turnkey mailbox doors/door slots. There are 4 large doors/mailbox door slots in this lot. These doors are made by Corbin and some feature an eagle. Some slots are without a maker's mark, 2 of the doors are dual dials and the other two are single dial. All doors are varying in condition. I am doing several of these lots starting today and they work just like my previous mailbox door auctions. No reserve, starting at 0.99.
