Antique solid bricks 350, many with brick flaws, very unique, Mazon Ill. P/U
Approximately 350 antique used bricks. Bricks came from location of old brick and tile yard in Mazon. Illinois. Many manufacturing flaws including sugar loafing, lime inclusions, overfire, and some defects from being in the ground. Some are fire brick. These are not pavers, they were architectural brick, but not good enough to be on the outside of walls due to their irregularities. Sizes very dramatically from 4 1/2" X 9 1/4" X 2 1/2" to 3 5/8" X 7 1/2" X 2 1/4" Most are approximately 3 3/4" X 8" X 2 3/8" Some have lost 1 or more faces. Many are only chipped or have a corner knocked off. Color varies dramatically too. Including some deep brown, tan(fire brick) tan faced red, red, and some pink. This is one of my favorite antiques we have from our 30 years filming. It is an antique 4 panel door from India. The outside has slight traces of old turquoise paint but the inside has a beautiful pattern of old paint with true paint patina. After using it for years as a set prop. I used it for a few years as a wall hanging. I would be keeping it but we are shooting a feature and using our home as part of the location sets and it has to go. Antique HYMN BOARD Free Standing With Numbers- Solid Oak NAMED CHURCH This auction is for an original antique hymn board from the Lower Froyle Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. The board is sturdily made from solid oak with a board backing. The numbers slide in from the side of the board and it comes with 11 numbers though more could easily be made. There are just a few old woodworm holes to the backing board which I have treated just in case. There is an old plaque to the base of the back which reads: Lower Froyle Hampshire Wesleyan Methodist Church- To the glory of God and to remember the faithful ones who have loved him in this place of worship- Sing unto the Lord- E. Storey London December 1949' The board stands 36 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The Froyle Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1862 but due to dwindling numbers. Closed in 1998. Antique solid bricks-425, many with firing flaws, 40 cents/brick, Mazon Ill.
425 antique used bricks. Bricks came from location of old brick and tile yard in Mazon. Illinois. Many manufacturing flaws including sugar loafing, lime inclusions, overfire, and some defects from being in the ground. Some are fire brick. These were not pavers, most were architectural brick, but originally were not good enough to be on the outside of walls due to their irregularities. They were faced with some sort of bright orange brick that has completely deteriorated. The fire brick came from the kilns. Sizes very dramatically from 4 1/2" X 9 1/4" X 2 1/2" to 3 5/8" X 7 1/2" X 2 1/4" Most are approximately 3 3/4" X 8" X 2 3/8" Some have lost 1 or more faces. Many are only chipped or have a corner knocked off. Color varies dramatically too. Including some deep brown, tan(fire brick) tan faced ... morered, red, and some pink. Some have mortar still attached but most do not. Some are completely intact. Bricks have been sprayed. Scrubbed with a brush, and sprayed again. They are as clean as that makes them. Last pictures show partials included at no charge. They do not count in the 425.

Antique Architectural Cast Iron American Eagle Head Bookends Natchez Solid Mold
I bought these thirty years ago in Natchez. Mississippi and was told they were architectural pieces salvaged from a 19th century building in Natchez. The eagles are(one piece mold) cast iron weighing 5 lbs each and measuring 8" X 8" X 4" They were made into bookends within the last 70 years. I wiped them down with a damp cloth to remove dust but they have not been touched while in my possession.

Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Antique late Victorian hanging cabinet. 29" high, 13 1/2" wide, 8" deep. This old cabinet was made to be built in. It has simple yet elegant crown molding on the front and along the right side- also a little skirting along the bottom right side so it would have been mounted so that the left side butted up to the wall or another cabinet. It is solid walnut with three walnut shelves that are adjustable, substantial brass turning knob hardware on the glazed door, iron L brackets on the top and bottom for mounting. It does not and never did have a back and is constructed of 1" thick walnut. There are two cracks on one panel of walnut in the door frame. The finish is probably original- very alligatored and dirty with some white paint drips and some areas of"bloom" ... morewhere moisture reacted with the shellac. This wouldn't be a difficult thing to restore, you might be able to save the original finish with some denatured alcohol on steel wool and a lot of muscle. This would be a nice little cupboard for a bathroom corner- maybe to the left of your vanity mirror. Also a nice size for a kitchen corner. Each piece is made of solid heartpine, is painted white, and has a lovely, fluted detail on one side. Eight of the pieces were installed on the right and left sides of the windows which they were removed from. So I'm always thrilled to find special items of history. ... moreThis one, I purchased from a dealer who bought it in Chicago at an estate sale, and he said it had been an early 1900s Chicago Building demolition acquisition, but he unfortunately did not remember what building it came from. Maybe it's something that you recognize? It's a cool piece all on its own- made from solid brass, and measuring just 4 1/2" by 2 1/2" tall by 3/16" thick, it is very hefty for its size at just over 1/2 lb- you'll feel it when you hold it. It tells a little bit of its own story on the right hand side where you can see the relief image of a fancy eagle. He has a round logo in the center that reads, Cutler, and he's holding banners in his talons that read, Cutler Mail Chute Company, Rochester N.Y. U.S. Mail Chute. On the right, is a raised geometric shape with the number 4 ingraved into the brass. The green patina that you see on the piece is not a painted or man made patina- it's gorgeous natural oxidation. Very nice Antique Wagon Wheel Hub. Originally came from an old wagon wheel. Found in Oregon. Very heavy as it is made from solid wood and has 4 thick metal bands, weighs over 23 lb total! It is in very good condition and ready to be converted in a usable piece of decor. It is hollow all the way through but comes with a piece cut out to fit as a base with a hole on one side in case you want to add power. We are not sure of the wood type-it appears to be a fruitwood and is definitely not oak. There is a total of 8' 4" of paneling in three separate panels that are 29" tall and 2" thick. It is thick and heavy(95 lbs total) and as you can see the wood has great character and patina. It has all pegged construction. T here is a small amount of dry rot and old woodworm and there is some unevenness to the color and some stains/discolorations here and there as well as small chips and scratches(see photos) There are two key holes in the face of one of the panels.
