~Victorian Antique Granite or Marble& Brass Pedestal. Stand or Base~, NR~ This is for a fantastic granite or marble and brass pedestal or stand. It is about 5" tall and has no makers marks. Appears to have a granite insert on top of a footed brass base. Looks to have potmetal around the top edge. It might have held a statue or vase at one time. Something with a base of 5" in diameter would fit on top of it. Base looks to be brass but not 100% sure. Has tarnish spot as shown below. Feet are applied acanthus leaves. Base is 9" square and piece weighs 4.5 lbs. Stand is in good used shape. Does have one leaf around the top broken off. Brass has tarnished quite a bit and looks like it could use a cleaning. Antique Marble Granite Onyx Doorstop Monument Pedestal Footed Base Architectural
Up for auction is a vintage architectural doorstop or monument recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. it is found in good used condition. Doorstops such as these were often made using old marble or like material used in the construction in a house. A doorstop was fashioned with some scrap which remained. It appears that granite and onyx are the primary stone, marble perhaps as well. Similar pieces were used as monuments as well. There are four layers of stone. Very nicely carved base, with four bracket style feet. Primary colors include pink, black, white, green and orange. The only condition issue is what appears to be some old glue on top of the green stone, as sen in the photos.Very decorative. A very nice doorstop or garden accessory. Marvelous Antique Marble Corbel NPC28
A fabulous antique marble corbel. Dating from the 1930's. This corbel features a scrolling volute that ends in a claw, flanked on either side by a fan of leafy foliates; each side is accented with rows of grooved detailing. The bracket is in very good antique condition with the expected wear, as pictured. It measures 18” wide, 17-1/8” tall, and 5-1/2” thick. Up for sale is a fantastic pair of carved marble table legs featuring intricately carved winged lions. Each one measures 29.5" high. 21.75" deep and 8.75" wide. One has a chip at the base as seen in the last photo, otherwise they are in good antique condition. There is a roman numeral XII carved into the bottom of each one. There are no other markings. We've seen antique French tables with legs like these sell for thousands and thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, we don't have the top.
