19th/20th century gas valve from the Mid western Town of Pendleton Ind.Brass.
Hello. This is for a gas valve that would run straight into your home with out a meter. In these parts we use to tap into our natural gas at the home and the gas would come through these Valves and into your home. This is a practice no longer encouraged because of the fires and death that would ensue.I found this at a site on the creek where a house was pushed into the creek when the new road was built back in the sixties. This is all I know as of now on this artifact from Mid western history. It is made of brass with a few inches of pipe line left.I hope you can enjoy it and the message it brings.Thank you.

Fanastic 19th Century Stone Crest Perseverance Conquers All
Fantastic 19th Century Stone Crest measuring over a meter square. The crest reads in Latin"Perseverantia Omnia Vincit" Which translated to English means"perseverance conquers all" The photos do not do this stone crest justice. Believed to originate from The Pullar Family. The Pullars of Perth" A Scotsman in Perthshire owned a successful laundry/dying business. He had a Mansion Built for his daughter in the 19th Century. This stone used to sit over the main entrance. Sadly like a lot of our history. The mansion was demolished in the 1960s and my family bought the stone. I love the statement on this stone. It's beautifully hand carved and has sat in my garden for decades. I'm sad to be selling this stone. But I'm selling my house and down sizing and have no place to keep it. It's extremely heavy and ... moreany interested buyer would have to arrange collection or their own courier. Of course I will assist where possible. The delivery prices quoted are estimates only and any buyer should arrange their own courier. The stone can be viewed by appointment in Keston near Bromley Kent/SE London 07739892306 Posted with eBay Mobile

German 19TH CENTURY trade sign PAPER MACHE store display CHAIN stage prop
The most intriguing paper mache item I've ever seen. Truly extraordinary. And it gets more so when you see it in various settings. The fact that it is a chain. Rather than something more figural opens so many possibilities. The color and texture suggest baked bread- how grand it would look in a bakery or kitchen! It looks great hung on a wall. Suspended from the ceiling or lying on a floor or under a glass table top. It looks equally good in a modern, vintage or industrial setting, and as good in a home or a store or office. The clean lines and abundant curves offer terrific shadow play, making it as much a piece of art as an artifact. It's an antique, yet there is nothing dated about it. The scale is large enough for a loft space yet it is not so large it overwhelms a small apartment. This piece provokes many questions. Making it ... morea true conversaton piece: Viewers will ask"What was it made for? Most likely a trade sign. But what for? Or was it made for a magician? Or as a stage or photographer's prop? Used by the strong man in a circus? Enginners and artists will ask"How did the manufacturer manage to make it into a functional chain? Each link was molded in two closed oval parts. The seams run the wrong way for the links to have been joined after it was molded. It's a mystery. Antique lovers will ask"How has it survived this long. And in such remarkable condition? This chain was made in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Most likely in Germany. Where paper mache was used to many many hollow candy containers and other items- all of which are now very rare, due to their fragile nature. It is hollow. Weighing only about 5/5 pounds, instead of the hundred or so it looks like. The links were each pressed into two part molds. Size: A few inches longer than 6 feet(compare to my daughter. Who is a smidge shy of 6 feet) Each link is approximately 7" long and 5" wide. Condition: Impressive for it's age. But this IS made of paper that is at least 100 years old, and it's

Antique 19th Century Victorian Cast Iron Deer Stag Head Sculpture
Offering a rare cast iron deer/stag head mount sculpture. I would think this is 19th century. This is very old and Heavy! Weighs just over 40lbs. Looks to have been cast in four pieces. Right and left side of head and each antler. There are two tines on the deers right side antler that are broken off. The collar is not quite flat. It almost as if were to be mounted on a log in a cabin? This was painted sometime in the past. This was found in a very old estate in Detroit. Michigan. Would be fantastic in a lodge or cabin. Stag is 25" tall x 20" Collar is 11" x 8" Whoever made this must a spent a considerable amount of time getting the casting ready. This is a fabulous work of art. Please ask any questions. I am willing to build a wooden shipping crate to insure its safe arrival. The items I list are found at estate. Garage ... moresales and auctions. Many are antique/ vintage items and have been pre-owned. Even if they were never used. They are not new and show varying signs of age, like wear, moisture damage, yellowing from age and storage prior to my acquisition of them. I do not know if items purchased are from pet free or smoke free homes. I describe all items to the best of my knowledge and include pictures of the actual item for sale. If you would like additional pictures please just ask prior to bidding. So what you see in pictures is what you will receive.
